How To Download Google Home On Chromebook

If you're looking to Download Google Home on your Chromebook laptop Then read the following guideline.

Create a more organized and personalized smart home with Google Home. Set up, manage, and control your Google Nest, Wifi, and Chromecast devices, plus thousands of compatible smart home products like lights, cameras, thermostats, and more – all from the Google Home app. Personalize your home view. Pin your most-used devices, automations, and actions to the Favorites tab for easy access right when you open the app. View your Nest cameras and doorbell live feeds, and easily scan through event history. Set up and manage Routines in the Automations tab. And quickly edit any permissions in the consolidated Settings tab. Understand what’s going on at home with a glance. The Google Home app is designed to show you the status of your home and keep you up to date with what you may have missed. Check in on your home anytime and see a recap of recent events. Control your home from anywhere. Turn on the lights, adjust the thermostat, or get an alert when there’s a person or package at your front door. With Google Home for Wear OS, you can control your home right from your compatible smartwatch. A helpful home is a private home. Protecting your privacy starts with one of the world’s most advanced security infrastructures, which we build directly into Google products so they’re secure by default. And Google uses your compatible devices and data to make your home helpful, but only in the ways you allow. Visit the Google Nest Safety Center at safety.google/nest to learn more about how we protect your information and respect your privacy. * Some products and features may not be available in all regions. Compatible devices required.

  • Almost Works Sometimes

The Google Home app tries to be a lot of things to a wide range of users. Maybe the core functions are robust and the features I need are a small, unimportant segment that the developers added as an afterthought. I mostly want it to access my Nest cameras. For that function it is far from reliable. The *frequent* inability to access events and live video could be due to problems anywhere along the chain from camera to cloud to local network to my iPad, except! that when I pull out my Pixel phone and use the Android version instead, the instances of “camera unreachable” and “video unavailable - try later” are far far less frequent. I prefer the large screen on my iPad, but the iOS version is more frustrating than functional.

I have 2 devices for this app the iPhone 11 updated fine with the new layout but the newer iPhone 13 Pro Max still has old layout but shows the Google home app is updated to the latest version…this sucks….

They are no very stout. They deplete way too fast compared to the competition

I am sorry that I spent so much money on Google/nest. 5-6 years ago, Google products/software were top-notch. Now? Lots of bugs, and hardware is expensive cheaply-built garbage. I’m working on getting away from Google.

Worst app I’ve ever used. They make you use this instead of the Nest app now but it doesn’t work. Very confused how a big company like Google can put something like this out.
  • Can’t use multiple Hue bridges.

It would be a better alternative to Apple’s home app if you could use more than 1 Hue bridge, but for some reason Google can’t get this working. Meanwhile, Apple’s home app can! Over the years I’ve stopped using Google products because it always feels like a beta test that leaves out important features like this. This is why I am writing this review on the Apple app store and not Google’s app store, because I’ve switched to a company that makes software and devices that work great.
  • Kind of buggy

Takes forever to load doorbell camera and other hubs despite high mbps with isp. Preview beta mode lasted about 6-7 months before it just disappeared. I'm now given the basic template and format of the app without preview and it's kind of bad. Almost enough to change and switch security cameras from Google totally.
  • Missing Key Functionality

Unable to access my family bells anymore, so I have random alarms going off. Not a fan of the redesign or moving features.

Still can’t view my door bell camera in the app. Is it ever going to be to integrated?
