How To Download Google Family Link On Chromebook

If you're looking to Download Google Family Link on your Chromebook laptop Then read the following guideline.

Google Family Link is a parental controls app that helps you keep your family safer online. We know that every family’s relationship with technology is unique, so we designed tools like Family Link that give you the flexibility to choose the right balance for your family, and help them create healthy digital habits. Family Link’s easy to use tools allow you to understand how your child is spending time on their device, see their device location, manage privacy settings, and more. With Family Link, you can: Establish Digital Ground Rules • Set screen time limits — Family Link lets you set downtime for your child’s device and time limits for apps, so you can help them find a healthy balance. • Guide them to age-appropriate content — Approve or block apps your child wants to download. Family Link also allows you to choose the right YouTube experience for your child: a supervised experience on YouTube, or YouTube Kids. Manage and secure your child’s account • Protect their privacy — Permissions management in Family Link allow you to make meaningful choices about your child’s data. View and manage permissions for websites and extensions accessed through Chrome as well as apps downloaded on your child’s device. • Secure their account — Family Link gives you access to manage your child's account and data settings. As a parent, you can help change or reset your child’s password if they forget it, edit their personal information or even delete their account if you feel necessary. Stay connected on the go • See where they are — It’s helpful to be able to find your family when they’re on the go. With Family Link, you can locate your children on one map, as long as they’re carrying their device. • Get notifications and alerts — Family Link delivers critical notifications including when your child arrives or leaves a certain location. You can also ring devices and view the device’s remaining battery life. Important Information • Family Link’s tools vary depending on your child’s device. See a list of compatible devices at • While Family Link helps you manage your child's purchases and downloads from Google Play, they will not need approval to install app updates (including updates that expand permissions), apps you have previously approved, or apps that have been shared in Family Library. In addition, purchase approvals will apply only when your child makes a purchase through Google Play’s billing system and will not apply to purchases made through alternate billing systems. Parents should regularly review their child’s installed apps and app permissions in Family Link. • You should carefully review the apps on your child’s supervised device and disable those you don’t want them to use. Note that you may not be able to disable some pre-installed apps such as Play, Google, etc. • To see the location of your child or teen’s device, the device must be powered on, recently active, and connected to the internet through data or wifi. • Family Link parental controls are only available for supervised Google accounts. With supervised Google Accounts, children get access to Google products like Search, Chrome, and Gmail, and parents can set up basic digital ground rules to supervise them. • While Family Link provides tools to manage your child’s online experience and keep them safer online, it does not make the internet safe. Family Link can not determine the content on the internet, but it can give parents the opportunity to make decisions about how their child spends time on their device, and determine what path to online safety looks best for your family.

  • I hate this app

whoever showed parents this is dumb. the app should get deleted
  • Unusable

    By JTMoney31281
Glitchs so hard it is unusable. Trying to give my kid an extra hour is an act of congress. I’m done with this app. Google has really gone downhill….
  • This is ridiculous!!

    By Anna2607*
It was really good at first up until my kids started growing up and went over the age that was needed to have them in the family group. I wanted to remove them from the group without deleting their account but they haven’t received any email whatsoever nor have I. I have been trying to remove them from the group for the past 2 weeks!! I still have no idea how to remove them, for me I’ve had a very bad experience with this app.
  • Just not a Healthy Concept in my Opinion

    By DontStopBelieving!
In my opinion, I think it sets a dangerous precedent for a bad child-parent relationship. My reasoning for this is the fact that it doesn’t even work very well, restricts all the wrong things, and is a fundamental catalyst in your most-likely terrible relationship with your child. Also, can everyone actually…listen…to (their) kids and other kids every once in a while. You’ll find that a lot of times, they have the sort of perspective that you lack as an adult. I LISTEN to children, and I’m telling you this to share the benefits of healthy communication. A lack of this is a catalyst for apps like this. TL;DR: Shut up. You don’t need this, but you DO need helpful communication with the child in question.
  • Would be 5 star if ..

So long story short I love this app. I think it’s ridiculous for any parental monitoring app to charge because this is our children’s health/ safety we’re talking about. It SHOULD be free. Family Link is free so I hold respect for Google. The one majorly upsetting issue is that my daughter is reaching the age where she will get her first phone. We use iPhones for more than one reason in this house. So she’ll be getting an iPhone. There’s no way to set up the child portion of Family Link on an iPhone. I’ve done my research and all of the good parental control apps for iPhone cost money. With the way the world is these days we NEED family link on iPhone. We need that free option. Not all of us have the extra cash to pay to protect our kids. We shouldn’t be given the choice of pay to protect your kids from the trash of the world or don’t pay and have no option. It’s sad. I’m so sad Google Family Link doesn’t have iOS compatibility for the child portion. Please change this! We need it.
  • Permisos

    By Yrled
No entiendo porque el niño puede descargar algunos juegos sin que me llegue la notificación para aprobar o rechazar, cuando veo dice que la aplicación no necesita permisos, eso no debería pasar y tiene otros errores que deberían arreglar
  • I need a password option for this app.

    By Juliet_mk
My child is unblocking his phone using my phone. I need an option on creating a password that will prevent him accessing this app on my phone.

    By Roblox needs to change!
This app makes me feel like I don’t got freedom of my privacy anymore I just hate this app 0/10

  • Won’t work on iOS device?

    By kml81880
I installed this on my old iOS device that my son uses. I was told it doesn’t work there. I need to find other ways of keeping him secure????? So if your child has iOS good luck! Guess it’s back to the old Android which runs slower than….well you know.
