How To Download Google Keep - Notes and lists On Chromebook

If you're looking to Download Google Keep on your Chromebook laptop Then read the following guideline.

• Capture, edit, share, and collaborate on your notes on any device, anywhere. • Add notes, lists, photos, and audio to Keep. • Organize your notes with labels and colors. • Set and forget. Get reminded about a note at the right time or place. • Record a voice memo and have it automatically transcribed. • Grab the text from an image to help you quickly find that note again through search. WHEN AND WHERE YOU NEED IT Need to remember to pick up some groceries? Set a location-based reminder to pull up your grocery list right when you get to the store. Need to finish a to-do? Set a time-based reminder to make sure you never miss a thing. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS Next time you go to the store, share your shopping list on Keep and watch as items get checked off in real time. No need for text messages back and forth. Get things done together, faster. FIND WHAT YOU NEED, FAST Quickly filter and search for notes by color and other attributes like lists with the label “To-dos”, audio notes with reminders or just see shared notes. Find what you're looking for even faster, and let Keep do the remembering for you. ALWAYS WITHIN REACH Keep works on your phone, tablet and computer. Everything you add to Keep syncs across your devices so your important stuff is always with you. • Doesn’t print in full screen, crashes, annotations on pictures loses item

I have been using this for 10 years. It’s a great place to take pictures/screenshots and organize. But some warnings: *when printing, it prints out 1/4 the image size. I take photos of my kids school art. When I tried to reprint, it only printed 1/4 the size, making it useless *it doesn’t sync with google photos nor google drive *when taking a photo and annotating or drawing on the photo (i.e., writing on the photo or drawing an arrow), the app crashes and the photo is now blank (as if the app is trying to resync but never does), so the item is lost *too many options photos on a particular keep note, the app will crash when trying to open the photo *app doesn’t always sync between devices or takes forever. I have three devices and don’t see the image across my other devices, so sometimes have to type in the notes vs relying on images The pros: *if using only the text, sharing a list with friends is easy *i still use the app but with the warnings above *no space/size limitations and its free *using on both android and ios (note the caveat above on images) *a good way to save stuff (i have a “note” for kids school art, take photos of my monthly bills, articles from magazines, etc)
  • Great for simple note taking

I’ve tried Microsoft todo, and google tasks, and keep is by far my favorite. It’s simple enough for those who just want to jot down quick notes or checklists which its competitors lack severely. Also syncs across all devices. Good app
  • Good: needs two things

    (1) Take the lead from Google Maps: let this app be in Light mode even when my screen is in Dark mode (or better yet, let me choose Light or Dark for any note!). (2) Let me increase the font-size just a hair so I don’t have to wear my reading glasses. [Oh, and p.s., I hope Google doesn’t abandon this app and leave me in the lurch as they did some years ago with Google Notes/Notebooks.]
  • No direct word search & highlight

I’ve been using it for years, but I had to switch to something else which includes the ability to search for a specific word. One of my note files has all of my user names & pw’s because I don’t trust the safety of the browsers to remember them & when you have a list of 40+ accounts & pw’s it’s difficult to scroll through each time for what you need. It only shows which note the word was found in. It doesn’t go directly to the word & highlight it like it’s competitors therefore it takes extra time scrolling through the list myself. I’m unsure why Google hasn’t implemented such a basic function by now?
  • Checking a box

Another google app to check a box that they have a note app. Zero support to Apple Pencil or any modern modern note taking. They are not even trying.
  • Why have a notes app without text formatting?

A text editor that doesn’t allow any formatting whatsoever (even markdown text, much less a UX formatting menu) is worthless. 2 stars just because it syncs with google. So far the worst notes app I have used, unless we are comparing to circa 2005 notes apps…
  • Needs work

This is not the worst note taking app out there but it’s definitely not the best either. You can’t underline, bold, or italicize your words. It says it can show rich text but you can’t actually make a note with it. Stay with Apple’s builtin app unless you need to sync with google.
  • Easy to use but… I wish they have text formatting

I like using it to separate tasks from my reminder but I miss the ability to format there ..
  • Wish there was a widget!

I have been using keep since 2016, glad to be able to use it still after switching from pixel to iPhone. Just wish there was a widget to have it on my home page!!
