  • Typical Microsoft, barely works

Doesn’t show you whole screen, can’t scroll, bunch of other problems. It’s just for emergencies, or for checking the status of a program that takes a long time to run.
  • Great app, very useful, only one problem for me.

I wish I could rotate the screen into portrait orientation like you can on the android app.

  • Better but keyboard issues

The app has gotten better, but when using it with the Magic Keyboard you can’t use windows shortcuts like cmd+z (CTRL+Z) to undo or in sql option+shift+up stops working after a few lines and moves your lines entirely. The Magic Keyboard doesn’t appear on the input devices which is probably why its not translating the key combinations to windows.

  • Great client other than broken scrolling at native Retina resolution

    By SocalEric
The RD Client app generally works well on an iPad for remote desktop sessions other than scrolling. When set to "mouse" mode, where sliding your finger on the iPad screen moves the mouse cursor (instead of touch mode, when the cursor goes immediately where you tap), the RD Client app seems to have a problem with the native Retina resolution on the second-gen iPad Pro 12.9-inch. Normally your remote windows session uses the full screen at same native iPad resolution, but after a period of time will suddenly be an unaccessible black region at the bottom of the screen, and RD Client will start using virtual scrolling when the cursor reaches the top and bottom of the remote Windows display. This would be similar behavior if you pinched to zoom in and the visible part of the screen scrolls as the cursor reaches an edge. If you lower the display resolution in the RD Client for the remote connection, it never happens, but the text is very fuzzy. If you leave it at the native "2048x1536 Retina", it may work for a while then suddenly start leaving a black accessible bar at the bottom of the display. To get back to normal, you have to toggle the screen resolution setting in the RD Client app and re-enter your remote session. The auto display-lock setting has no affect.

  • Functional - but not up to the mark

    By Miteshm14
Updated to remove the issues addressed and added more items. First, very impressed with the ability to work on windows device from ipad/iphone and for the most part works well. The iOS app however needs a lot of work to bring it in line with mac/windows rdp app including the following: - No multitasking support on iPad Pro for split scree - Audio/video redirect from remote PC to iOS device doesnt work (especially with teams) - Constantly getting disconnection errors (at least 2-3 every day) -No option to hide the top connection bar when working on remoter pc - Keyboard incompatible - combinations with alt/ctr/shift that work in WIndows do not work on RDP - With so much innovation in cloud space - unbelievable that RDP is so far behind even on basic functional experiences. MS needs to prioritize RDP updates.
  • Cannot connect to PC

    By ranagorn
I’m unable to connect to my PC on both my iPhone (iOS 15.1.1) and iPad Air (15.0.2) despite being able to connect from another Windows machine. All devices on the same network. Throws error 0x204. Tried both Hostname/IP but neither works.
  • Alphanumeric Keystrokes

    By ChrisBrannon
There is something weird with the Magic Keyboard and the iPad. I have a WVD instance and some apps do not register the alphanumeric keystrokes but will register tab, delete, etc.. Also, when you try and @ mention someone in Teams, Teams does not prompt you to select the user. - It’s like its not registering it correctly. Very odd and almost makes WVD on a iPad unusable. I also noticed when you pull up the built in on-screen keyboard in WVD and hit any letter on the iPad magic keyboard, its not registered.
