Functionality on this app is very unpredictable. For a paid app, it should work much better. The app randomly changes documents, like adding footers and headers on its own - even to single pages. Document settings aren’t honored, as the app decides haphazardly how formatting should be, and it’s always hideous. For quite some time starting in spring 2024, the app will not permit any creations with color, and MS has let this go on for months. The app constantly says the subscription has expired when it has not as receipts prove, or says the user must create an account (despite the user having had an account for years). I pay $84 per year for a barely functional app. Now, I do get access on my laptop included in this, but the app is a dysfunctional tool that MS obviously does not care about. This is a lot of money for little functionality and never-ending glitches. I cannot even report quality issues for this app, so it’s telling when MS doesn’t want or value customer feedback or concerns about a faulty product. I’ve chosen not to renew and to end my use of Word after decades. MS has lost the plot, and it’s clear it’s just given up.

I have used windows, and word for many years and I really enjoy that anyone can use it. Its communication made simple.

I just started using the word app on my iPad so i can not give a full five stars as I have not tried every feature on word using my iPad.

I like that you can access your Microsoft documents from any device, but the formatting is much different than when I created it on my computer. This messes me up. I either have to completely change the formatting to fit the app formatting then change it back on my computer, which is VERY time consuming, a waste of time and a pain, or not use the document. Microsoft needs to make it so the phone and iPad app formatting is the same as on my computer. Also, the location of things (font, columns, tables, etc.) are hard to find. The app version is hard to navigate and find things. I hope Microsoft changes these things and makes it much easier to use.

I love word it is an excellent app and makes everything work wise easy.

Word is not user friendly

Using the app for some reason limits me on what functions I can do. Like searching up a font. It doesn’t let me do that or change the name of my document. For me, using its not worth using the app. Instead I will be going onto safari or google to get on Microsoft word.

The app was working fine, but when it saved to the cloud the file was corrupted and I lost all my work. Looks like this issue has existed for at least a year. Be warned, if you save to iCloud you may lose all your work.
