  • Stop making me have to download your sound library!

    By xsoundgardenx
Many musicians only use this app for editing sound files and recording takes. We have absolutely no use for the sound library yet EVERY single time I try to use this app I am forced through several prompts trying to make me download a sound library. I DON'T WANT YOUR SOUND LIBRARY. I DON'T WANT THE EXTRA GIGABYTES ON MY HARDDRIVE, STOP MAKING ME HAVE TO DECLINE EVERY TIME I OPEN THE APP. Other than that, the app is great.
  • Not reliable

    By u2heads
Logic has plagued me for years by being incredibly glitchy, crashing randomly, not identifying third party plugins, the list goes on... That said, the reason I use it is because I've found a lot of its functions are very intuitive and make workflow relatively easy. If Apple would just focus on making their software as reliable and stable as, say, Ableton or Pro Tools, they would have the best DAW hands down. But instead they put WAY too much energy into gimmicky things like Spatial Audio, app design and expanding their built-in instrument libraries. They've been trying so hard to turn the DAW into "Garageband " that they've lost sight of the "Pro" element of Logic Pro. Pros need reliable software. Please fix your bugs and crashes.
  • Trash

Added some plugins, Logic cannot handle them. Freezes every time when starting. Have wasted hours on this garbage with no resolution. And the good news is I am not eligible for a refund. Apple has $199 and I have nothing. Great deal. Even if I eventually get it starting again (after wasting even more time) who cares? You can't trust this bug-ridden software. FL Studio has no problem with my plugins and is easier to use, so I'm done. Congratulations Apple, I consider that $199 stolen money.
  • Super easy to use!! great Results!!!

  • Don't buy if external MIDI is your primary use-case.

    By now_its_dark
I had never used Logic before, but my impression from reading various accounts on the web, was that it is well-suited to working with external MIDI devices. In my experience, this is not accurate, or not any more at least— every time I looked to do something basic or expected from the standpoint of an externally-focused workflow, it was hidden, to the point where no amount of intuition could have helped, like burying the Environment behind the option key, even after enabling "complete features". MIDI is often really complicated and deep! For a tool to actively obstruct you from working with it is just adding insult to injury.
  • Best DAW for your Money

    By Isaac Fanai
I've used Ableton, pro Tools, Studio One, and Cubase. The best bang for your buck is Logic by far. The FX are very usable and intuitive. The layout is also intuitive and just looks nice to use. Only wish they had a Live mode or Show mode for performance. I knwo there is Mainstage but Logic seems to handle CPU and heavy plugins much better.
