I spent two days on a picture. It looked so amazing. The application crashed and deleted the most important layer. When I asked customer support for help, they said that the free application does not come with customer support. ————-Update———- Had a wonderful 30 minute conversation about I’m trying to get their software to not purposely mess with my Apple Pencil. They recommended that I go to the Apple Store and wipe my entire device. 30 minutes of that conversation with them trying to sell me a subscription. Even though this is attached to the Apple store, they try to force you to buy a subscription in order to get adobe support for them to fix the deliberate software errors that they include in their Application. When the application is free, you do not need to have a subscription or pay for a subscription in order to get customer support. That is a lot like walking into any store and asking to see a manager because a product has done harm to you or is not functioning correctly as it should be and being told that you have to pay to see the supervisor. In any situation the supervisors job is to advocate a solution between the company and the individual with the issue. You do not need to purchase something in order to put in a complaint about an item that was for free. Adobe fresco has been using apples name in order to generate subscriptions through a bait and switch to their website. Do not be roped into paying for a subscription in order to get the application fixed. I spent 30 minutes listening to someone beaten switch me and during that conversation they released a very small update that they already had to fix their program because they already knew that was an issue and use the issue with their program to mess with my Apple Pencil as well as attempt to trick me into a subscription.

Exceptional color blending brushes, neat animation tools, and crisp vector brushes make this program a really great “go to” for the iPad. I’m really hoping they will add a pen tool so that you can edit your vector strokes after the fact for more precision control and refinement.

If you’re looking to doodle for fun, fine. However, even with a few GB of storage left, the app is refusing to load documents which I would’ve never guessed. I now have to delete work, to continue to work and that’s disgustingly disappointing, due to the fact that this wasn’t made very clearly prior to being bothered learning the system. Imagine an app telling you that you need to free up space to not save a drawing, but to simply draw. I’ve tried to give Adobe a chance over the past decade but it’s the fact that they cannot get their basic UX together, while heavily promoting the app because it’s free. It’s not worth it for those who need to draw when the passion hits. This app is a creative block
  • I wish it had better integration with illustrator

With Apple Pencil, I like Fresco’s drawing ability way better than Illustrators. I just wish I could import (and export) files between the two and have them remain vector (if they were created that way). Fresco is fun, whereas Illustrator for the iPad seems like a chore (and I use the desktop version all day, every day, for close to 20 years now).

This app is similar to Procreate in some ways, but not in value by a long shot. For the cost of 1 month of an Adobe CC subscription you can own Procreate forever, and it’s a more developed version of what Fresco could become one day, possibly.

I know the motion feature is new but it needs work. You currently cannot export a gif with a transparent background.
