  • Too difficult

After watching several YouTube videos I’m still lost and this app isn’t user friendly for non-techy Gen Xers like me. I was supposed to get a 7-day free trial but I was charged immediately. I’ve cancelled and deleted the app.
  • Not a replacement for Photoshop Fix

I’m not a photographer. I just take family pix and need to remove objects sometimes. I used Photoshop fix for years and years and loved it! Now Adobe got rid of it and gave me Lightroom. Unless I pay $50/year, it does not remove objects. Not a fair trade Adobe. I cannot recommend LR. I’m very unhappy.

Learned that Adobe now has automated and manual access to all your information and files, additionally, by using their platform, you grant them permission to save and use your content, files and data in any way they please. Goodbye Adobe, ya'll screwed the pooch. Switching over to Photomator and Luminar for good now. dueces ✌🏼

Wonderful program, super quick. And easy. My only complaint is that there’s no AI noise reduction. Please add that adobe. Please. It’s so close to fully featured, why not just add the couple of features? They added generative AI features. I don’t really care about that, I want to remove noise from my images.

This one will stay so the review stays up. Ever since they locked everything behind a pay wall I decided to leave and not use any apps. Even more so, the pay plain is ridiculous. I pay for apps, but not insane ones. Goodbye.

Can’t’ import portrait photos, keeps saying fail to import, don’t understand why LR can’t handle portrait photos??? The design, shortcuts, etc. of LR iPad don’t have anything related to the desktop version. They are like from two world. And the desktop version is way easier to use. Don’t understand how much difficulty it is to align between the two versions???
  • Lack of tutorials-iPad specific

Although the app is packed with features, it cannot do the one thing I wanted, edit hair roots to match the rest of the hair. I searched YouTube and Adobe’s help website without finding answers for the current version of the ipad app. I did a live chat with an Adobe representative who suggested a couple websites and YouTube. I asked what specific YouTube video and he said “no specific recommendations.” He said “you can use the Brushes to pick up the exact color.” I said “how do I do that?” His speech bubble appeared and disappeared a few times, then this msg came up “Swati has left the conversation.” So I guess that’s it. I wasted my money. It can’t do the one thing I bought it for.
  • Lacks Desktop Features

Lacks features here and there to make it a half finished product on the iPad, which has the same processing power as a Mac. Because of the lack of full features, you can’t use your iPad to do the full editing. Consider moving to a full feature photo editing app rather than waiting for adobe to squeeze out updates.
  • Embarassingly inconsistent UI design

If you’re just using Lightroom for free on one device, it’s a pretty decent service. The thing is, Lightroom actually gets WORSE when you pay for the subscription, especially if your primary reason for doing so is to be able to edit your photos across multiple devices. This is because the Lightroom app for mobile, Lightroom app for iPad, desktop app, and web version are all designed differently, and do not all have the same features. Some of the most painful and obvious discrepancies include: 1) The tools are not organized in the same order nor in the same location across all devices and platforms. 2) The web version can sync with google drive but the iOS and android apps can’t 3) The android app allows me to import presets, but I can’t on any iOS device or on web. 4) The android app allows me to organize my presets, create new folders, and move presets, while the iPad app and web app can’t. I paid for the premium Lightroom subscription of $5/mo, and while I know the price isn’t that much, Adobe is the industry leader for photo editing software. If I were them I’d be embarrassed at such inconsistency and the audacity to charge money for sloppy work.
