This could be a fun game. It could be, but the ads kill it. Ads after almost every turn, many of which you cannot silence. This is a problem when trying to play on breaks at work or playing in any public space. Uninstalled.

This would have higher rating if it wasn’t for the annoying ads that somehow end up muting my game sounds and I have to constantly relaunch the app to get the sound back. It’s bad enough the ads are constant! Also, I wish there was a way to tell if the other player used a power up, so you know when they actually played their turn or just basically cheated and used the computer to make their move.

Hasbro used to have this as their app and you could actually buy it to play without ads. Then they sold it to this outfit and they reneged on the app purchase and throw ads at you before and after every single move. Add to that because so many people have have left this platform that now 9 out of 10 players are bots and you know that this is truly dead in the water. Pity, I really liked it but greed ruined it.

Easy to play and fun. But the ads often include costly scams such as the current one advertising free meets from Omaha steaks… Valued at $300! Quick research shows this is a scam that not only will not send you any free steaks or other meats, but will steal your credit card information and charge you up to $100 a month for services you did not sign up for. The people who run Scrabble GO should take a bit more care with who they accept as advertisers.

Once upon a time I bought the official scrabble app (maybe $5) to play with friends and it was awesome. No ads ever and I could play to my heart’s content. Now every single turn = ADS!! I can’t focus on any type of game because the ads take up so much of your time and mental energy to get through. I’m very tempted to delete this game because I can’t accomplish much because the ads turn me off and interrupt the flow of any type of game. It’s a shame they don’t give you an option to make a purchase to turn them off completely.

Please get rid of the soft porn soap opera ads!
