I’d rate it higher if it was easier to use, less buttons to get to the same place, and if it would load faster and didn’t take ages to get me to the next page

I like using Alexa home automation, and I think the mobile app is generally good. However, an update several months ago has rendered my Echo Link device difficult to use with a mobile device. About a year ago, I purchased this device ($139) for its sound quality and its wireless capability. I have outdoor speakers and I was able to connect with my iphone and control the volume from outside my house. With the slide bar for this device, I was able to adjust the volume perfectly by increments of 1%. After several months, an app update changed the volume increments to 10% on the slide bar. I contacted Amazon support and they had no fix. It dioes the same thing with the android version. Strangely enough, the volume slide is still in 1% increments in a Windows version of the app. I should have purchased an Airplay device instead.

This is the worse app including the echo show itself. Never have I come across a less intuitive product.
  • List Skill API removed

Garbage move to remove features that make this service worth using. Shoehorning me into an Alexa only ui with limited abilities is unacceptable. One star until this is fixed.

Removed the ability to use anylist, which is a great app! Please, change it back!
  • Why change the list API?

Let's face it, the lists in Alexa are not good. Everything was great with a 3rd party app. Now Amazon changes the API so everything gets added to their awful lists by default and the end user now needs to specify the app to add the item to. 9 steps backwards on this one.
