  • Great app, but switching languages is painful!

    By RevolutionMaster
I’m in the process of learning two different languages on Babbel, and while it’s a fantastic app, switching between the two languages that I purchased requires going deep into the settings menu. We need a quick language switching menu!
  • Fun

    By burtonpoolguy
I shopped around a bit trying other similar apps first. This one is better than all the ones I tried by a lot! I used to dread my “homework “ everyday on the other apps. Now I do extra!
  • You have to stay at the keyboard to make it work

    By __Well In Dow__
    Wishing it was more automated.
  • Not free

Maybe if we didn’t have to play a monthly thing y’all would be getting a 5 star.
  • Great course

I enjoy using this app. It is fun to use. I’m learning a little each day. It’s not overwhelming.
  • Babble is ok

    By sfvdnc
If you added some more games, and not all just for review, that would be perfect. Cuz after 2 days of playing these games (I've been doing regular babble awhile) I've already mastered them. Also, if you added some a bit more fun... these are ok, but, if I saw these in the app store I probably wouldn't download them... Dzienkuje! (That's Polish)
  • Locks up

    By jel1157
Every so often the program locks up. I tap and tap and wait for it to start up again. You can’t go back to see your last word or sentences .You can only go forward on the lesson.
  • My High Praise

    By Babbel Fulton
Babbel is excellent for me. It is easy to learn with the Babbel method.
  • Not for beginners

I’m a native English speaker from America, I don’t know any other languages so I thought it’d be best to learn a mutual language with some of my friends. They are from the Netherlands and Belgium, both speak fluent Dutch so I thought Dutch would be the perfect language to learn. It is similar to English they share the same alphabet and I already know some people who speak it. Going into learning I very clearly and confidently remember the few beginner words like good morning and good bye etc. once I got to around the 10th lesson you just get thrown in head first with no knowledge of sentence structure or grammar. I mean the bare minimum to speak, read and, write a language is just completely missing. I often times found myself confused with the way words were used and how sentences were built and how they changed. For languages like Spanish it’s no problem but for a language with a different grammar it is completely useless to try and learn from this app. I don’t know how any native English speakers with no background in Dutch can become fluent with this app alone there is a massive hole in the teaching process.
  • Charged For Unwsnted Subscription, Can’t even access anything

    By AushShua
I bought a year last year around Black Friday and ended my subscription a few months after because I didn’t end up using it as much as I thought it was. Obviously I paid for the year so I know I’m not getting my money back, but what I’m upset about is that I was charged today a $89.99… that’s almost $100 for an app I haven’t used in MONTHS that I ended my subscription to MONTHS ago because I was afraid of this happening. On top of that, idk if it’s a glitch or what but I can’t use ANY of the apps features. All it says is “can’t connect to babble”. Thankfully it let me contact Babbel through the help menu but even so , how am I suppose to be sure it went through if the rest of the app isn’t even working??? I can’t even request a refund because the app isn’t working and I can’t find anything in the App Store because it says I have to go to the app, or call the number between 2pm and 6pm if I’m lucky enough to get someone to actually answer the phone after all the automated messages. I have bills coming up and now thanks to this mistake I’m going to be overdrafted. Just letting y’all know so you can be careful. Probably won’t be using this app again after this scam.
