    Today it lost my order while shopper was working it. I’ve written to them and keep getting an AI generated response. But, do they really care? Who else would be their competitor at least for my area? No one. Not happy! This review was last order; 4/24/24…The shopper was great. The app is awful! She sent me a text to give my scores…won’t open, I was going to add more money for her an extra tip and can’t. Thanks INSTACART!!!

    I was just talking to my coworker who raised his kids alone and he said the hardest part was taking them to the grocery store. I felt so fortunate not to have experienced a nightmare grocery store trip yet! All because of Instacart. But also, please add a “save for later” feature in the cart! It would be so helpful if I could move something to the side of my cart if I find I’m not completely out of a product, but running low and will buy it fresh next time.

    Their customer service agents lack professionalism. Spoke to 6 different people in over 2 hours and price issue still not resolved. In addition to the fees the charge, prices are marked up vs buying from the merchants directly. Unacceptable

    My account with over $800 of instacart gift cards that are attached to the account got deactivated. Reached out to support and never got a reason for why I was deactivated. Also they said there is nothing I can do to get it reactivated and no way to get the money back from the gift cards I attached to the account.

    Their shoppers nearly always screwed up something. Instacart eventually stopped using credits for their mistakes, even when I could prove it (had the receipt, which showed they didn’t purchase an item I ordered and was charged for). Absolutely scammy company, IMO. They offered me a 1 year membership for just $19, but I passed on it, because this company has caused me so much stress and aggravation. It isn’t worth it. Shipt and Whole Foods (delivered by Amazon) provide much better customer service, and make fewer mistakes. Some of these 5-star reviews look fake to me. Also, the company’s response to reviews is laughable - they are just trying to get your social media info - more of your info for them to sell. It should also be noted that their app is spyware - it tracks you, and collects tons of data from your phone. Again - more info for them to sell. No wonder they are thanking people for downloading their app. 💰💰💰

    I understand advertising “hooks”. But “add to your order” really gives you a new order. Delivery times get longer and longer after the trial period. Almost obligating you to join. Be ready to add $15 to every order after your trial if you don’t join.

    they stole 100$ from me and refused to give it back because it’s been more than five days. whatever you do, DO NOT buy from instacart. i even explained how i am a college student and CANNOT afford this and they did not car nor were nice.

  • Hit or miss - not worth the risk

    Some days they get it right and other times they don’t but then you have the occasions when they just go straight off the rails. Yesterday I ordered and gave a 3 hour window for extra time, the shopper started then half way thru said they had to stop. I contacted support to see what I cold do as I needed this stuff for dinner for my family and was told it’s still being shopped. Finally contacted support again and they fixed the issue but had to extend the time off arrival. The shopper who eventually started shopping couldn’t find 1/3 of the items including those that had just previously been shopped (at Costco)saying they must have run out in that time. Finally just had to cancel the order as it wasn’t worth paying for a partial order. This isn’t the first time and it’s not worth it considering all the issues. Update: decided to give Instacart a second chance. Still lot of issues and now have cancelled my account. Two orders in a row they weren’t able to complete and the last order they charged me a 15$ restock fee for an order that the shopper had to cancel on because they didn’t have the ability to pay for items at Costco due to being a new shopper. Support kept telling me they couldn’t reverse the charge but finally said it would be reversed and will take 7-10 days to refund. Instacart is a total scam and will charge you for their issues
