    I’ve used Paper nearly every day since getting my iPad Pro in 2020. I use it to sketch out just about all of my graphic design work, and I have used it extensively in developing my game. the simplicity and notebook-ness of this app truly can’t be beat. That said, with the release of iOS 17, marks that i draw on the page almost always instantly disappear, meaning that making a single mark can take SEVERAL tries. It really gets in the way of my work and is extremely frustrating. This happens both on my 2020 pro and 2021 mini. Hopefully a patch is in the works to address it, but until the issue is fixed, the app is kind of hard to recommend to new people. UPDATE: this app has only gotten worse as time has gone on. Allegedly it’s still updating, but the bugs are not getting any better, so idk what the contents of these updates even are. Almost none of my notebooks will stay synced, requiring me to download *the entire book*, sometimes hundreds of pages, every time I want to use the app. For my ipad that is usually off wifi, this makes the app completely useless. What’s more, some of my books are straight up missing, and even worse, sketching in a book almost always fails. After spending some time on a pageyou will no longer be able to turn pages, undo, make a new page, or close the book. What you will need to do is quit the app and reopen it in order to continue your work. When you do this, you will lose all progress since the last time it decided to save. I have had to just redraw the same page three times because this keeps happening. I used to love this app, but these days it barely works, so now I have to start using Apple Notes or something, which is so much worse for sketching. Please, if you value your users, for the love of god squash some of these bugs.

    I bought lifetime access to this app as a legacy user and sure enough my journals are gone and there are new paywalls in place thanks to Paper’s new owners. I’d have to pay again to get access to an app I bought access to and used over the years. I will never support WeTransfer. This is ethically disgusting.

    Just one thing , it made my day , I’m a graphic designer with no schedule, until I ran into this app , it’s UI - UX forced me to stay in the app for another couple of minutes, until I found myself using this app for like an hour , now , I use an organized schedule as the professionals do .

    I’m hating on this app cuz why the pack done… SOOOOOOO EXPENSIVE! Nonsense! Why is it called ‘paper pro” sounds like company name not like a pack. How Do You Mess up badly for me goodbye I’m undownloading! I thought I’d be fine with this app.. but it just seems never seems right.. I seen it being promoted before. They never included the pack. Why did I downloaded this piece of poop. It’s not what is recommended for me. And literally like nothing…

    my phone automatically updated the app, and with the update my years of journals were deleted. when i went to the help center, they simply said that with the new update they “remove access to all backups.” i don’t normally write reviews, but i thought it was important for people to know that any content you make here is not safe, and may be deleted at any point.

    I love this app, it is so amazing, and I understand the need to make money, everyone needs money, but the pro stuff has been getting very excessive and it’s hard to do anything when everything seems to be pro. I respect that you are trying to make money, but I’m trying out this app and I can’t really try it out when everything is closed off

    I was considering buying the in-app purchase, so clicked on it, to discover that the in-app purchase is not a lifetime purchase but a per YEAR purchase. Yet another subscription app. No thanks.

    i was super excited to use this app - i liked what i saw in the app, i thought the variety and functions were interesting, i even paid the $11.99 for paper premium. however, upon trying to purchase “paper credits” so i could buy one of the planners, i was told that because they had discontinued the development of new journals, they were no longer selling paper credits. what the development of new journals has to do with the credits i’m not sure, as that wouldn’t affect journals that are already in the store. the journals that are in the store should either be made free, or should be removed from the app.
