  • Loved the 5k app, loving the 10K

    I used the 5k app before purchasing the 10K! So far, I am loving it!! I’m not very good at pacing myself, so I love having good structure during my runs!
  • Fine for 5k but not so much beyond

    Good app to get up to 35 minutes straight running, but once you get there it drops back down to 12 and 15 minute intervals. By the time I was back up to running 25 minute intervals, my aerobic capacity had decreased and I was no longer accustomed to running for that long in a stretch. Really disappointed that my progress was lost in a couple weeks. You’d be better to ditch the app after getting to 35 minutes and increasing on your own.
  • Glitches often

    The idea is great. The workouts are great. The coding is a little messed up. The app only logs days one and three of each week in my history. The watch app rarely knows what workout I’m on when starting. I have to chose the correct week and day. Sometimes I’ll start the workout do the warm up and the first run segment. Then the run segment will start over like I never ran it. Please work these glitches out.
  • The perfect app.

    I’m getting back into subbing and what I love is that it goes by time, not mileage. So if you’re not feeling remarkably strong one day it’s ok. You just need to get out there and go for time. I’m also really enjoying the walk intervals. A problem I have with try running is that after a few miles it’s monotonous. Knowing in 15 minutes (or whatever the time) I have a 2 minute run really breaks it up. Thoroughly impressed with this app.

    Was really hoping that when one indicates the run was too hard it the optimization would be creating a run between the previous and the one that was so hard. Instead “optimization” just repeats the same run that was too hard. Really?!
  • Good coaching, not accurate min/mi

    This app is ideal for anyone that wants to do exactly as the name says “couch to 10k” essentially, just be able finish it running non-stop. If you are hoping to improve your run or you care about your pace, try something else. It has absolutely helped me run further, longer and I was by no means a runner. When I saw that it tracked my run at 9:13/mi I was absolutely thrilled. It was unbelievable that I could do so well! …a little too unbelievable, so I decided to track the run (excluding warmup walk and cooldown walk) separately as an outdoor run in my apple watch. Results: couch to 10k avg 9:13/mi. Apple watch 10:47/mi. I thought the app was a bit off, but seeing the results was devastating. Over a minute’s difference might be negligible if you were doing other things like waiting for coffee, but for running times, that’s huge. Overall it’s a good app but I think you pay for it after 7 days (I don’t actually remember) and if you’re paying for it, you should be getting accurate info. If it’s free then hey it’s free, just don’t rely on the pace.
