  • Zero support

The app is great until you need support. My runs have been failing to sync to my history from my watch to my phone. I’ve reached out to support in the 2 limited ways they offer, and zero response for almost a week.

It got me trained up for my first 10K, and I loved it so much that I subscribed again for another race, and finally after my third subscription expired I went ahead and got the lifetime pass. It’s so worth it! Everything you need and nothing you don’t.

I had the monthly membership but ended up buying the lifetime. It’s a simple app and not over designed like others I’ve tried. Great for my first 10K and I’ve used it for a few others since. Get you from zero to 10K.

I love this app! I used it while training for my first 5k and then first 10K, I’m currently using it again while training for my second 10K and I’ve recommended it to my friends who are doing this next race with me! They’ve both reached out to tell me how helpful they’ve found it to be!

This app provides a slow and steady approach that optimizes as you go. A run too easy? The app will bump up the next challenge. To difficult? It will repeat a run or create a half step up. This approach means that each run feels slightly too hard when I start but I end up at a walk just when I think I’m not going to make it. The result is that my (running) confidence is up and I actually look forward to the next run. If you’re thinking about running at all, this is the app you need.
  • Demotivating and not really adaptive

POV: Decade long runner coming off of 6-month foot injury and using the app to get back Into running. I also engage in strength training. Pros: 1) If you have never ran before or run low tech Cons: 1) Not really adapative and better tuned for the 5k distance because it isn't a smart adapt. 2) Uses arbitrary times to determine plan. Its not based on heart rate or elevation. Therefor its not an accurate training program. What you can do up a hill or in the heat/humidity is very different than on flat moderate temp weather. 3) Even though I follow the program (week 13) I wont be running a 10k at the end of the program. Could I do the distance? Yes, with walk breaks. But not in the hour they have slotted. Knowing that I'm not on track even though I'm doing what they say is a bummed. It would be better if they focused on distance. 4) Wrong testing group? I think many of us need more than just random runs to get sub 10-minute miles for 6.2 miles which is “success” for this program. It misses the opportunity for speed work as part of the plan. 5) For the price of this app, choose something else that will help you get to your goals.

This app will not let you lose it unless you do the free trial or pay $40 for a subscription. Very misleading on there end, as it’s advertised as a free app. Terrible.👎👎👎
  • One big problem

There is no heart rate available while using the app. I feel this is an important feature to have for any workout app. I have used several workout apps (my fitness pal, the apple work out app, C2K, Runkeeper), this is the first app I’ve seen not offer that. I wish I could have tried it free first before paying $40 without knowing this.

This app advertises itself as a free app, but you have to pay 40$ to use it or opt for a free trial that auto converts to a paid option when you open it for the first time. Shame!
