  • Buggy and Unreliable

In the last month, it has become unusable. Downloaded issues disappear and have to be downloaded again. Cannot be used when offline. Formerly, you could download an issue to be read when in an airplane or elsewhere without WiFi. Now, an issue previously downloaded might be gone and unavailable until one has internet access and can download again. I contacted the developers. They have done nothing (for weeks) to fix it. Do not subscribe. You won’t have reliable access to any publications you might purchase.
  • Login - every time?

Every time I open the app it requires me to login? Insanely inconvenient behavior for an app for reading daily news!
  • Works great but no family sharing.

Just like the iPad and iPhone apps, this just works. I've been a pay-as-you-go and Hotspot Hog for at least five years. Finally tried the all-you-can-eat trial and I'm hooked. I just wish they supported family users with seperate profiles so my wife and I can share and still be under the five device limit.

This app accuses me of taking screenshots when I HAVEN’T been doing that at all!! And then bans me from reading a publication I’ve had access to for along time!! This has happened in the past with bad advice from the tech idiots at Pressreader!!

I cannot read, download, or do anything. Not even manage my account. So then, what is the point of this app? Browsing on the web is quite annoying, cant see everything full screen and the app is very useless.

Downloaded this to read magazines from my local library. Tried for 15 minutes to sign in to my library but it doesn’t show in the list and the app insisted on showing libraries in Europe & India (I’m in the USA). Tried to sign back in with my email address and it won’t allow me to type in my email address. Truly one of the worst apps I’ve downloaded in years.

This app won’t let me change accounts from one library to another. After signing out and inputting all the information for another library (card), it defaults back to the original card from originally library. So I can’t read other titles that are offered from another library. Users with issues simply get a boilerplate robo reply.
  • Most of the important magazines are missing.

I try press reader every 6 months but result doesn't change. It's a great idea but most of the magazines are missing; Wired, The New Yorker, Harvard etc.

Confusing app. No matter what I press on it just demands I buy something. I can’t even get to an article to see how it works first. No thank you, greedy annoying app. No at all what I am looking for.
