  • Can't use built-in camera on Mac

    I thought I would be able to scan a QR code using the built-in camera on my Mac, but apparently it can't do that. If I need to take a photo of the code with my phone, I could just scan it on my phone. So, I don't find the app useful. But there might be other features that are useful to other people.

    The description of this app shows that its features include the abaility to "Scan, read, generate QR & Braces...Share using e-mail, iMessage, Facebook, or Twitter. This is miseading. It is not possible to share QR codes; it is only possible to share the content they reference. For example, it will generate a QR code for a website; however, if you try to share it, instead of sharing the QR code so someone can scan it, it simply copies a link to the website to your Mac's clipboard.

    I take screenshots of QR codes and drop em into this app. Then I can open the website and it comes up in my safari. Great! However, sometimes for some reason, the QR code is not read and the app freezes up. I have to restart the app. Other times, It will read the QR code, but when I select "OPEN" it freezes again and I have to restart. It's frustrating especially for a paid app.
