  • Solid app and device

    The app is solid, I usually have no issues with it through most sessions. The few times I do are usually user error. They pay attention to feedback and respond to issues quickly which is appreciated. Even with a newer version and device, this one is still supported and gets updates which is also appreciated.

    Update: Emailed rapsodo, response was basically “yeah we are working on it” When exporting swing videos from the app, the video saves without the shot tracer. Very frustrating as this function is important for sharing swings with a coach. Great launch monitor, very poorly executed app.

    As mentioned in other reviews, the app no longer works outside of 1 to 2 shots. It then freezes (status light on device stays blue) and has to be restarted. The app worked fine up until a few months ago. The problem with the app not working is that the expensive MLM device then becomes useless. “We’re working on it” shouldn’t be the boiler plate response. As a beginner golfer, my intention was to buy the first generation MLM, improve my game, and then graduate to the the newer generation Rapsodo products. My intention now is to look at competitors products while Rapsodo works on fixing this one.

  • App no longer working since software update earlier this year

    The app records maybe one or two shots and then freezes. I have reached out in February and again in April and was told exact same thing. Their software people are aware of the bug and are working to fix it with no timeline on resolution. Therefore in key months of wanting to train I cannot used it. Worst of all last time reaching out it appeared I was being mansplained on the use of the product even after explaining my husband tried the app with the same results. I’m at a lost because I have a product that I cannot use.

    I absolutely love this device and it’s a great tool for being out in the range and working on shots. Issue I have and am having frequently. When exporting to iPhone 15 pro max 60% of the time the video exports with no ball track. This is pretty annoying when I want to send to friends or coaches etc. it’s like the main reason I got this tool .

  • Good product but bluetooth connectivity is not consistent

    I like the product and hope the newer monitor is as good as advertised. Didn’t use the product for over 4months and now I can’t connect my app to the monitor, off/on numerous times with no success. Followed all the steps on faq and booklet with no success, and the isn’t phone support either. Must email and patiently wait for next steps

    To anyone out there that is wondering why you can’t change the settings that are displayed when you hit the ball, you can. You go into metrics in the recent sessions and change the 4 stats shown to the first desired 3 you would like displayed, for me this is club speed, ball speed, and carry and then it changes the metrics shown. The rating attached to this is for a different issue.

  • Works as advertised

    I’ve had this launch monitor for about two years now and it works well. I had some small issues here and there in the beginning but it seems pretty dialed in now. My only real complaint is that being that it requires your phone to be placed on it to function, the phone overheats on the range when it’s sunny and hot. I’m thinking about making some sort of cardboard enclosure to shade it so we’ll see. Overall gives you what you need and well worth the cost.
