  • Great work tool

This app works great in taking handwritten notes. Worth every penny. I use it side by side with a textbook and it gives me the ability I needed to take great notes
  • Awesome !!

GoodNotes is my goto app for note taking. I love that you can type, write (with iPad pen), insert pictures. Super easy app to learn and use. I also use it for signing documents and exporting as a pdf.
  • I love this but..

Pleeease add a paint bucket option, and a layers option. It would be fun to have this if i want to add more sophisticated drawing or add a watermark to my work right on the app. Transferring it from one place to another almost always diminishes quality.
  • Needs some work

I use this app for grad school and download a lot of PowerPoints to the app, half of the PowerPoints download and either cut off some typing on slides or doesn’t download images on the slides.
  • Favorite App

    By ChelseaGarcia
I downloaded this app to use for my digital planner and it is perfect for that. I didn’t realize, though, how many more uses I would have for it! I’m using it for so many other things now and it is my most productive app and absolute favorite. I can’t believe I didn’t have it sooner. Love it and I’m glad to pay for an app that has been so useful.
  • I Am BEYOND Sold!

    By Pagandeva2000
I can’t believe what a GEM I had with Goodnotes! I had it for a few years, but got bored with it, however, that was BEFORE Apple Pencil 2nd generation. THAT was really the game changer. Now, I can write my digital journals in beautiful script, doodle artful designs on them and create millions of notebooks for my various interests. It is user friendly, has a support website and I am happy as a lark because I don’t have to buy paper anymore. All of my study notes, journals and lists are right on Goodnotes!
  • Best note taking app!!

This review is coming from a nursing school student. I love this app! Works great for notes for All subjects!!' used it to create study guides with labeled models for my anatomy class. Also, I love now you pay once and get access to the entirety of the app. No in app purchases or monthly subscriptions, its a one and done deal!! You can download stickers, note pages, add in your PDF lecture notes and annotate in the directly app! 100/10 best note taking app on the iPad! If you are debating whether or not to buy it, buy this app!!
  • Love this App

I’m giving this app a one star review now so it is easier to see this review. I absolutely love this app, but there are some freedoms I think should be added. I think I should be able to pick colors for the folders, I should also be able to sort my own files and notebooks in the order that I want them to be, rather than just by date or name or however. I should be able to just hold on the folder or notebook and move it wherever I want on the page that has all my files. Great app otherwise, but is really missing those key features
  • Worked great but many issues now

    By LazerBug
I first started using GoodNotes in September and it worked great for my fall semester. I didn’t use the app as much during winter break, and now that I have returned from winter break and I am using it again, the app doesn’t seem to run as smoothly as it used to. Now, the app crashes a lot, the eraser tool doesn’t erase all the way, and the lasso tool creates duplicates of the writing I’m trying to re-position. I have tried restarting my iPad and pencil and that works occasionally but I still experience issues that interfere with working. Great app, but I think it is time for an update.
  • Some big problems, namely syncing

    By TechnoWhopperWithCheese
There is a handful of stupid implementations here, or lack thereof, but overall this app is quite useful. One major complain is that syncing is sluggish. I make an edit on my Mac, and have to force quit and reopen the app on the ipad 3 times (if I'm lucky) to get it to show the changes on the ipad. What's the point of this functionality if I have to do so much to make it work? I might save time by never opening the app on the Mac. Trying to get a screen shot from the Mac into the iPad (without saving it somewhere first, unnecessarily) is a pain in the butt. It's like the ipad checks for changes every few minutes. No good.
