  • Feels like a hostage situation.

The ap used to be free, and when they swapped over to a paid version, they lock you out of your old files, only letting you access 3. This seems extremely unfriendly, now I’d be forced to subscribe to access work I did under a free license. I’d have happily paid a one time fee to ensure I can get at my work, instead in left wondering what happens if they raise prices or go out of business, and I’m locked out again? It doesn’t make me feel comfortable doing work in the program. I don’t begrudge a company trying to keep the lights on but this is beyond the pale.
  • Subscription model ruined everything

I loved this app before they made it subscription based. What happened to the days of purchasing a license straight out? Not worth the sub if you don’t use vector art daily.
  • Annoying nagware

Free version is a joke - strictly GNDN - Goes Nowhere, Does Nothing - with a constant banner nagging the user to “Try Pro for Free” that keeps getting in the way. Crucially, the only way to save an image is to take a screenshot and trim off the edges, since the JPEG export is disabled unless you pay up. Plus the new limit of only three drawings results in a constant reminder that I am using 1/3 of the available files, with no way to dismiss or hide the banner. Worse, the banner keeps jumping around and sometimes even partially overlaps options in the settings bar, disabling further use of the app until the display is rotated once or twice to get the banner to move out of the way. It was fun while it lasted, but this app is dead to me now. Not recommended.
  • Huge bait and switch

Tried to use the free version to make one piece of art only to learn that EXPORTING ANYTHING AT ALL is a premium feature. That’s raster or vector output. There is literally no way to make anything at all without paying a huge subscription.
  • No Trial Period

App says you get a 3 day free trial if you subscribe, but that’s not the case, they charge you right away! So if you’re wanting to test the app before committing don’t waste your time unless you want to fight for a refund if the app doesn’t work for you!!

  • Subscriptions ruin everything…

I used to love this app. But now you have to pay a subscription to be able to export anything. Kinda pointless if you can’t export it. But I guess you can try it for free and then decide if you want to export to pay. It said I had seven days free to try. That was a lie. It took it immediately out of my account. I love how it runs but for something I’ll use once a blue moon it’s not worth it. I’d probably pay for the app for a one time fee, but not for 16 bucks a month. It SAID 14 but then charged me 16. Probably taxes or something like that. It also can be kinda frustrating to find all the hidden things. I kinda think copy and paste should be in a place that’s easier to get to. As well as the delete button. But it was good for free. I don’t think it’s 16 dollars a month good though. Maybe five dollars a month….maybe. I won’t be using it again since I can’t save anything without paying though. I was perfectly alright with having only three files though I had to delete some because it used to be free and one day it updated and I couldn’t get into the file I had been working on. It was frustrating but I thought it somewhat reasonable even though I didn’t have a chance to save those other files. Anyways… I hope they can at least upgrade things for it to be worth the cost they think it’s worth.

I’ve only used this app for a few minutes on desktop to create an app icon that more closely matches the aesthetic of my computer but I was able to accomplish that task relatively quickly!
