  • Apps just stuck “waiting”

By Caused a ton of problems
I downloaded the parent app and the jr app to my daughters device. Used my Mac book to sync. Most of her apps were stuck on “waiting” but never opened. I tried all the troubleshooting from the website with no help. I was unable to reach an actual person for help. Her apps were all rearranged, lock screen picture gone, wallpaper gone, and many apps just disappeared. It took me almost 3 hours with apple support to get her apps to open again. Then she had to reset up everything again on her phone. It took half the day. Very disappointing. Plus, you can’t even limit time for specific apps, which was the whole purpose of downloading. You just have the option to always block, always allow, or give a set screen time but not for specific apps. Very disappointed.

If you don’t have a computer you can’t do anything I paid for premium and still cannot do anything if I would have known that I would not have downloaded
  • Empty promises…

This app promises a lot of features and I was happy to finally find an app that would do everything I needed. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer much of anything for free. So we paid to try the premium features that we needed. That’s when it all fell apart. My daughters phone is USELESS. It doesn’t do anything. We restarted it multiple times and the app just doesn’t work. If you block access to apps, when you try to grant access back to the phones apps, it just doesn’t grant them again. The only way we can get it back is by deleting it all. So thanks to the developers for creating an app to sabotage children’s phones and offering no help.
  • Ruined phone had to replace

My daughters phone was just fine when we went to bed. The next day it was dead and wouldn’t connect to any cellular network or Wi-Fi. It wouldn’t allow me erase and reset all settings I am assuming because it had the device management profile setting that prevents from erasing the phone. I put it in recovery mode after a ton of tries. I still wasn’t able to resolve the issue. I finally erased it to restore to new. BUT it still wouldn’t connect to the network. I troubleshooted with Apple and Asurion and nobody could fix it. I had to file a claim (luckily had it on insurance) to have it replace. But I also had a $200 deductible. So on top of the $99 annual fee, I had to pay $200 for a replacement. So I’m out $300 now. I’ve requested a refund of the membership fee. So hopefully at least that might be granted. Sincerely, a frustrated mom. Update: I couldn’t uninstall the app either and it wouldn’t let me remove the device management profile. So no, it wasn’t easy to remedy.

If you ever used Androids and family link you understand how important it is for parent controls in today’s world. If it aint out of sight out of mine my kids will try to use it. This sop removed the app with out deleting and you can put back on at any time. I highly recommend and ONLY APP THAT ALLOWS YOU TO BLOCK IMESSAGE I TRIED THEM ALL

Don’t waste your money. The software is fair and the service is worse. Anything else would be better.

I’ve had this app on my child’s phone for just over a month when the problems started: - she was unable to update her applications - strange glitches where she was out of time, but I was unable to add more time.. it said she was out of time unless I added 6 hours Most of these fixes they told me to delete her profile and reinstall it. I was about to do that, yet again, and deleted the profile on her phone and now the app when I go to log in with my laptop says I’m not online- but I am online? Now I have a deleted profile on my child’s phone, an app I cant uninstall or attempt to reinstall because of (??) Customer service who ascertains they cannot actually talk on the phone, but are super fast to email back “we are working on it!” For several weeks. I don’t even know if I can install another app with remnants of this app still on the phone, nobody to reach out to, and most importantly, a child I want phone protection on and I’m unable to do monitor anything. Save your time and go with an app that has a longer history and has more robust support.
