Get things done! The award-winning Things app helps you plan your day, manage your projects, and make real progress toward your goals. Best of all, it’s easy to use. Within the hour, you’ll have everything off your mind and neatly organized—from routine tasks to your biggest life goals—and you can start focusing on what matters today. “Things offers the best combination of design and functionality of any app we tested, with nearly all the features of other power user applications and a delightful interface that never gets in the way of your work.” —Wirecutter, The New York Times KEY FEATURES • Your To-Dos Your basic building block is the almighty To-Do—each a small step toward a great accomplishment. You can add notes, tag it, schedule it, and break it down into smaller steps. • Your Projects Create a Project for any big goal, then add the to-dos to reach it. Use headings to structure your list as you outline your plan. There’s also a place to jot down your notes, and a deadline to keep you on schedule. • Your Areas Create an Area for each sphere of your life, such as Work, Family, Finance, and so on. This keeps everything neatly organized, and helps you see the big picture as you set your plans in motion. • Your Plan Everything on your schedule is neatly laid out in the Today and Upcoming lists, which show your to-dos and calendar events. Each morning, see what you planned for Today and decide what you want to do. The rest is down to you :) MORE THINGS TO LOVE As you dive deeper, you’ll find Things packed with helpful features. Here are just a few: • Reminders — set a time and Things will remind you. • Repeaters — automatically repeat to-dos on a schedule you set. • This Evening — a special place for your evening plans. • Calendar integration — see your events and to-dos together. • Tags — categorize your to-dos and quickly filter lists. • Quick Entry — create to-dos from anywhere, as soon as the thought hits you. • Quick Find — instantly locate to-dos, headings, or tags. • Type Travel — jump from list to list with your keyboard; just start typing! • Widgets — see your lists in Notification Center. • Mail to Things — forward an email to Things; now it’s a to-do. • Markdown — structure & style your notes. • And much more! MADE FOR MAC Things is tailored to the Mac with deep system integrations as well. A great example is Quick Entry with Autofill: a shortcut that grabs content from other apps and adds it to Things for you, such as a link to a website or an email you want to get back to. You can also enjoy a beautiful dark mode at sunset, connect your calendars, enable widgets, use your Mac’s Touch Bar, import from Reminders—Things can do it all! • cool features but subpar software

occasionally throughout the week, when mac starts up either from being off or logging in after being away overnight (i.e.) there is like an invisible things window. you can't see it, and therefore you cant click the red x to close the window and command w doesn't close it either. you can open a new window by right clicking the dock icon, but the hidden window won't go away until quitting the app. y'all may think this is small, but it's becasue you can't think big picture and how small bugs create big wastes of time over the course of a year or more. the other bug, is when clikcing a notification, it'll open 2 things windows that aren't even sized teh same. makes no sense. it'll happen once, like maybe after not having a window open for the day/night, but then it won't happen again for hours, until... inevitably it happens again... I already messaged the devs about this months ago, maybe they ought to switch to sub model so they are actually motivated to fix their app. i have a mac studio with an m1 max, plenty powerful enough of a computer that feels old and sluggy because of apps with small bugs like this that ruin my day.
  • Expensive To Sync Across All Accounts

    By ThinkDreamLive27
I added it to my phone ($10), then my iPad ($20), then my Mac ($50) and I had to start over because I wasn't prompted to create an account the first time. Most importantly, you have to spend $80 on an APP just to use your devices (what's the point if you can't sync everything) which I use all devices for work and personal. Perhaps if there was a package deal or a discount to incorporate actually being organized across all devices, it would make more sense. I can use Trello or Asana or other task management software which are more comprehensive and are free or even cheaper to upgrade.
  • This is the ONE YOU NEED

    By ertemir
I have used many different to-do apps and software through the years. This one is the one, there is no monthly subscriptions as well. Just try it out, you will love it.
  • Excellent management software

    By Phntmfreak54
I got the free trial of Things 3 and purchased it the next day. The userface is straightforward and attractive, the integrations with your calendar are super handy, and it's just amazing to be able to create so many categories and subcategories to ahndle things from work and life in one essential platform. Can't wait to keep exploring the nuances and make better use of the app!
  • Amazing to-do app

Made me so much more productive and a delight to use!
  • Beautiful constraints

    By rsstraker
I LOVE Things 3. First of all, it's pretty. Second, it's easy to use. Third, it's constrained. My previous task manager app could do practically anything, so I'd went too deep and created an over-built monster that I didn't like using.
  • No Images = 3 Stars

    By Johnny_1979
Without support for images, this is not usable.
  • Took me a while to decide to be productive

    By rbrins
It took me a while to finally find a productivity suite of software that I could use. I had things3 already from a previous attempt, but this time, things (all puns intended) clicked and I was able to use it in a much cleaner way than apple reminders. If you are also a Windows users and worried about not being able to have todos handy while on windows, I was in this same boat. I ended up syncing on my phone because I found that with enough clarification and context, the task were just task and not full blown projects disguised as task.
  • PLEASE let us control font size. Please.

    By Jessca84
I love the Things app. Its design is so clean and intentional, which is why I'm frustrated to see the native app is missing a critical accessability feature: The ability to increase font fize. I'm not even far-sighted. But the font is so small on this Mac desktop app compared to others. If Iupdate my Mac's display settings to make the screen larger, it makes the font on other apps too big. Please change this.
  • Moved from MS Office

    By wdanderson00
For 20 years I've been using MS Office. In the past few years I've been making heavy use of OneNote, To-Do and Outlook on a PC and a Samsung phone/tablet. I made the switch to an iPhone recently but found the MS Office experience on Mac to be abysmal at first. I started looking around for options and found I could more or less competely dump Office altogether and Things 3 has figured prominently in weaning me off the PC workflow approach of Microsoft Office. I now use Things 3 exclusively and only check mail with Outlook. No more To-Do, no more Outlook flags and OneNote lists, and the seamless nature between my MacBook, iPad and iPhone is light years ahead of anything MS and Samsung are trying to do.
