  • Fear-based app. Avoid.

First time parents, do yourselves a favor and avoid this app. I understand where you’re at; I was desperate to do everything right by my baby and fill my knowledge gaps. However, this just made everything worse, increased our anxiety, and made us feel we weren’t doing enough. Instead of spending our time enjoying our newborn, we were constantly under pressure to do tasks to “ensure” their success. After 2 weeks we deleted the app, and guess what? She’s walked at 10 months, can already form words, and everyone comments on how intelligent she is. All babies develop differently, and she had a rather slow start in other areas. That can seem devastating in the moment, and this app capitalizes off that. If you want your little one to be a day ahead of that kid down the block, go for it, but that’s the bulk of the benefit you’ll get from all your investment.

For my first and second child, I used baby sparks to track their development. I love the milestone features and the activities. This is really your all in one tracker to see if your kids are where they are supposed to be-development wise.

Great for first time parents who don’t know what and when to work on skills. Super grateful I found this app! The free version doesn’t have much to offer but I paid the $30 a year and it was totally worth it.

Not a fan. The activities are repetitive and most are so basic that it’s common sense to do them. Too expensive and not worth it in my opinion.

It can be hard to find things to do with newborns during their time awake. I love that this app gives simple ideas to do with baby that are great for their development

I love this app been using it since she was about four months old. You input the milestones your child has reached and it’ll give activities to help your child grow with things you have around the house. It even has a video to show you how to do sit activity. you can then write each activity as too easy perfect we’re too hard and it’ll just the next activity. I use the free version for a while, but quickly upgraded and now this is my second paid year of using it.
