  • Auto-route is best feature—but keeps getting worse!

    By PerpetualVolunteer
N avionics has always done a mediocre job with data visualization. Their colors and fonts are very dated, and it always feels like you are using a 2000 version of Mapquest, or a commercial ECDIS. It was never /bad/ just always sort of clunky and visually boring compared to a modern map or chart program. I have remained loyal to Navionics for one reason—their auto-route feature; sometimes they call it “Dock-to-Dock”. It has been an awesome planning tool for my wife and I as we travel up and down the ICW, around the Chesapeake, and through New England. Until the latest version. They have now eliminated the ability to change the active waypoint. It seems inconsequential, but it has a massive impact. Developers: give us back our numbered vertices! (and hire a graphics artist while you are at it!)
  • Issue with GPS data

    By GRev123
The app is getting depth and AIS from SignalK server, but the GPS data over NMEA 0183 via Wifi on my iPad without an internal GPS chip is not working. I verified with OpenCPN that the SignalK is working properly. Please fix.
  • Update hasn’t been beta tested

    By Kipster1
After update or upgrade all I get now is a straight gray line and I have numerous other issues as well since I tried to upgrade
  • Speed and trip not accurate?

    By SeaChalet
I have a sailboat and most times whenever I tack my speed drops, and the speedometer zeros out. It keeps recording my track but takes a long time, and sometimes several minutes to show my speed again. Broke out my old Garmin GPS and navionics usually registers .5 - 1 knot slower? Also total trip on navionics was 16nm, garmin showed 20nm, so I’m thinking something isn’t quite right?
  • Latest update has major issues

Auto routing does not work on many routes with the latest update. It simply plots a straight line across land.
  • Latest Update

    By NancyFinnegan
I was looking forward to the newest update but once I started planning routes, I’m now pretty disappointed in some of the new features. Sometimes my route looks great, other times it just shows me a straight solid line that goes through land. The newly added “hazards” along my route shows me absolutely nothing. On Aquamaps if I click on “hazards” it actually shows me where every hazard is along my route and gives me in depth detail on each hazard. Not sure that it’s useful being told that there are 13 hazards and nothing more. I will probably end up using my husbands phone as I did not update the latest version on his phone.
  • Newest version 18.0 just released 6/20/22

Using either manual or auto routing, the app is routing a direct line to my destination over any body of land between starting point and destination. I hope they are working on this…….quickly!
  • Not good

    Not user friendly at all
  • Big problem with new upgrade

    By Seattle - Scott
Hep!!!! So I just upgraded to the new wiz bang app and it doesn’t;t work with slow internet. Immediately says “no connection” and basically stops. Old version work s fine they forgot that our internet on boats is slow…. Don’t know what to do now… This is a huge problem as I set out for the summer.
  • Concept good…

I feel like the app is bait and switch! Affordable base price after trying the demo but to get additional information it costs more. The demo should be more clear what is included in as a part and those costs. Cancelling and hoping for a refund!
