  • Bring back Apple Watch

Been using this app for over 10 years, love how it integrates with my Google calendar so I’m sure never to miss a flight. I love the automatic updates to let you know about delays and gate changes. Sometimes I get it on app in the air before the app with the airline this is always a good thing. I used to have the app on my Apple Watch but for some reason just lately it stopped working and totally disappeared. I’m not sure what happened if there was an update or not, I looked for it in Apple Watch apps, but I can no longer find it and I can no longer sync it with my Apple Watch. If I’m doing something wrong, please let me know but if not, PLEASE bring back this option of having it on the Apple Watch.

This app is a great idea. I just decided to pay the fee so I could try all the features. Ultimately it doesn’t provide you any more information than any of the current apps from the airlines do. The information it does provide you is delayed by five or 10 minutes so before you takeoff or land, your other apps have already notified you then app in the air pops up and repeats the same information. It’s just another thing to manage. And it really doesn’t do automatic check in and I really don’t want it to do anything else because it might don’t want anyone messing with my flights not worth it. I did subscribe to FlightAware. Because it provides information about. Flight histories and inbound flights.
  • Lackluster features

With the unfortunate change in feature tiers, and the pricing that I paid last year for a year subscription, I do not feel like it is worth the money. I had written a review earlier, which seemingly has been deleted by the company, that requested live activities, and other features be brought to the service. The response I received was that it will be coming within the next couple of days. This was over a week ago. These promised and requested features still are not part of my pay tear, and my prior common still stand that the subscription for the service is not worth the money. The stated response from AITA from my last review claimed …” The next release should be in the days, and it will bring the long waited "Live Activities" feature.” I do not know what happened to my prior review, however I stand by my disappointment in both the cost of the subscription and the features that it contains. I’ve been sitting on the year subscription and there have been hardly any updates as promised to my tier, which leads me to not resubscribe. It’s unfortunate that this company has not backed their claims and promises from our conversations.

  • Disappointing direction

This review breaks my heart to write. App in the Air quite literally used to be my favorite app. Hands down. But quite concerned with the recent direction the app has taken with locking more and more EXISTING features by premium. The way to win customers and subscriptions is by building new features, not take away the ones that were already there and built up the customer base in the first place. Really disappointing position. I'm never update this app anymore because I'm afraid of what more I'll lose. I hope the developers see this and re-open the app before too many people have to go to Flighty. I would even prefer ads over the current day version of the app
  • Great app for tracking flight trips stats

I synced my flight trips from “Tripit” and this app displayed them nicely with options to get real-time alerts. You can even create a animated video of your trips in the app which is amazing. Definitely recommend this app to anyone trying to track their flights with stats, achievements and badges to share/compete with your friends. There are so many other features like booking a hotel/flight directly in the app which I haven’t used it.
  • Recent update takes away FREE features

Loved using this app as I’ve used it since 2014. I’m not a heavy duty user but I like to see where I’ve been each year and where I’ve been in the current year. The map was a great feature. Well as of recent this feature is gone and now requires me to get a subscription. Not sure what other previous free features that may have been available that are now taken away. Will probably end up dumping this as I am not interested in getting a paid subscription.

App in the Air is an all-in-one travel app that makes tracking itineraries, boarding passes, and loyalty points a breeze. From managing time at the airport to getting real-time flight updates, this app has it all. The AI booking system offers predictive pricing and recommends flights based on loyalty status, earning a higher yield of points (on select airlines). The app integrates with email, TripIt, and even plants a tree with each booking through One Tree Planted to offset carbon emissions. The premium subscription, which costs $29.99 annually, offers real-time flight updates and automated check-in, as well as the option to subscribe family members via SMS. With coverage of major North American and international airlines, alliances, and airports, App in the Air is a must-have app for any frequent flyer.

I don’t travel very often, but this app is fantastic for the 2-3 times a year that I do fly somewhere - especially when there are multiple connections. Updates are ahead of the airline
