    App has way too many scammers lately to even be worth it. Twice now I’ve been targeted specifically on this app by the same scam by literally the same dude. My recommendations, run and run fast.

  • Kept getting logged out every 30 mins

    App has been really hard to use. I recovered my account from a few years ago. There must be a bug with authenticating recovered users. I kept getting kicked to the recover account screen. I would have to go through the process to get an email with the magic login link to get back into the app, but about every 30 mins I would get logged out again. Then I would repeat the process to log back in. After a few rounds of that I finally gave up and deleted my account.

    I’m not sure how long I stayed on this application but I know for sure it was under a month and it wasn’t very interesting. The concept of this application is very cool. It reminds me of the classifieds I’d see in the back of a newspaper when I was young and it seems really different from the typical dating apps. It’s supposed to connect you with people whose paths you’ve already cross already crossed which hypothetically means means that you shouldn’t have a problem meeting this person in real life. The problem is the people who are on here at least the ones I have connected with seem to be very suspicious due to the fact that they may not be real. I’ve literally only had a conversation with two people who responded back to me and the exchange didn’t seem suspicious. This is connected to another issue that I had with this application. You’re not able to do very much in it if you are not enrolled in some kind of subscription. This means that you cannot search or limit your filters to just people within your region. You may get people in your cycle who are in a completely different states and there is nothing that you can do about it because you don’t have a subscription. This also means that if you haven’t crossed paths with anyone, you’re not gonna get any more profiles either because again, you can’t search for people if you don’t have a subscription. While they do have the option to request the data that they have on you, you have to send in verification documents. It’s odd that although you are only required to enroll with either a phone number or an email, (I can’t remember which one it is) and, if you want to, you can certify your profile by making a video so that they confirm that you look like your pictures, in order to get the data that they have, you have to send verification documents to prove who you are! You have to provide them items that they didn’t already have in order for them to provide you with data that you allowed them to track, which supposedly has nothing to do with your identity. That’s suspicious and disingenuous. All in all, I personally did not have a great experience and deleted my profile. I’m sure it’s probably better with the subscription, but based on the free application, I had no incentive to even consider a subscription, because the free version was so….bland. Just keep evolving the concept

    When deleting this app it won’t even allow you to tell the honest reason you’re leaving. You only have 2 options which are to lie to about the fact that you’re leaving because you found someone. It’s as if it’s rigged/engineering for false positives. Majority of men look like they cycle themselves through dating apps with no personality or character (something lacking in men)…. Get off dating apps and shove men into bootcamp to reinforce them how to develop a sense of value and identity and not go to dating apps to vomit themselves onto women. We don’t need more apps, need more conscious and mentally HEALTHY men!!!

    Happn used to be pretty good because there were real people on here and you could meet them. Now it’s overrun with bots and scammers. The likelihood of matching with a real person here has become low. And Happn keeps asking me if it’s OK to track me everywhere. Yeah, right. It’s a complete waste of time to use this app now. I contacted support about this, and they pretend not to know anything about this problem. While the other dating apps have figured out a way to keep the bots in check, the approach Happn has taken is to let them take over. Immediately after writing this review, I’m deleting the app.

    Biggest line-up of phonies I have ever seen on a dating app. The women are all glamour models with ridiculous obscure names, and sometimes the photos obviously do not match the profile. Do not waste your time. (I will state for fairness that I live in a suburban/rural area - maybe in a metropolitan area there are actually real humans involved.)

    I been using this app when it first came out got fed up with it. More and more scammer profiles and fakes. But the worst thing is when I paid to see my likes the likes I got were unavailable profiles. They faked profiles just to get me to pay. I feel super cheated. I’ll never recommend this app to anyone.
