I regularly use this app. I appreciate the ease to move between using ounces and parts. Lots of cocktail choices.

For a bar that rotates about 36 different ingredients the unpaid app provides recipes for a whopping 8 drinks… even though they are using your data and selling it you will be forced to pay for the app if you want an additional 9 recipes. 17 drink recipes for fee. I don’t think so. Not for me.

This app is among the best visual presentations I have ever seen. It is well laid out, easy to use, and very useful. The offerings are very comprehensive and I look forward to making this app a key addition to my home bar.

During my search for a nice cocktail app, I came across Cocktail Flow. There’s a lot to like about this app but also a lot of negatives which make it hard to recommend. The UI for one is among the best of any cocktail app I’ve found. It’s a minimalistic design with skeuomorphic images for the cocktails which I’m a huge fan of. Apps like Mixel use pixel art which while clever, don’t make you crave the drink you’re looking at. It also packs a lot of features while keeping the design simple. My favorite feature is My Bar which shows you drinks depending on what ingredients you have on hand. It also has proper sources for these drinks which are taken from popular cocktail books. I especially like that the design of this app doesn’t feel bloated or target you with ads for their premium version. That being me to the point of pricing. Cocktail Flow is great in that it’s not constantly trying to sell you their premium tier. The app is usable in its free tier with extra drinks unlocked if you pay for premium. The problem is that it uses a subscription model. While I’m not a fan of this, I understand developers need to make money and a $5 one time purchase is not enough for something that will take time to be regularly updated. Here’s the problem: as of this writing, it hasn’t been updated in 3 years. That’s fine if your app is perfect the way it is, but some of the negatives include some cocktails missing measurements, grammar errors, and it would simply be nice if they added more cocktails. You’re essentially paying $20 a year to use this app, which doesn’t seem like much of a bargain. I tried this app for a year. I liked it, but until it starts receiving updates again I cannot recommend it given it’d subscription model.

Hi, I added the free version of your cocktail app. When I discovered the cost and limitations, I went to delete it from my iPhone, a pop-up appeared offering me a one-time fee, which is what I was looking for as I definitely would not agree to a monthly/yearly subscription. But after I sent in my money, I soon discovered I *still* couldn’t open most of the cocktail recipes available on the app. Please send a refund. Thank you.
