    I’ve had an account since 2019. Since June I have been trying to buy a certain item and the 15-20 people who are selling it only 2 of them have responded. I feel like the app doesn’t actually send your messages to some people? For example one of the people I messaged it said they were active in the last day and posted a new item a few days ago. But no response to my messages or even my offer for their asking price. I tried contacting offer up support but they only sent a generic response. I feel like many of the reviews are fake too. There is no way this app is currently 5 stars when I can’t even get a response to a message let alone buy something.

    Offerup offered a 3 free day trial. I clicked on it & was charged 19.99. I asked for a refund. I was denied. Never even used it. Removed it from my phone. Offerup can go you know where. Apple also. Good luck.

    Offer up is decent when buying or selling local . I’d advise not ship anything with offer up . It’s been a whole week since the buyer received the item and I still haven’t received my money . Offer up customer service keeps telling me it’s my version of the app or phone system that is the problem . Definitely not selling through offer up ever again . They scam you!

  • Overall Great-Paying to Promote is Wild

    Overall, I really like the app. I really like the site as well. I find it easy to look for things I may want to purchase. And it was pretty easy to add in something I wanted to sell. Literally, the only problem I have is the paying to promote option. I’m not sure that I actually will make you sell your item quicker as mine was not sold and barely got any views with promotion. I would not recommend anybody paid to promote. But again that is my personal opinion and experience.

    Too many adds! Too many interpositions with advertisements! I use them delete. I am unable to functionally use it with all the interruptions. Every time an advertisement pops up I just close the application. Own your time and only use whenever needed. I don’t need waste money and constantly buy stuff… so my use is minimal.

    Si far I don’t like the lengthy period you end up waiting for payment but, in reality I do actually really love the audience I’m able to reach; the fees are high sadly forcing me to charge more just to get what I need for my items subsequently bringing down the population or demographic of customer I tend to attract based on affordability rendering my ability to make sales a little less likely or to move slower and I don’t know how m

    You can’t do much if you deal with a bad seller. You can’t even write a review to warn others. Their customer service is nonexistent.
