  • Horrible formatting

They’ve wedged a magazine into an app with no improvements to account for digital formatting.

As a subscriber I should have digital access to issues using this app but when I tap on an issue it wants to charge me $8.99. This happened on both my iPad and iPhone. I tried to get help from subscriber support but they just pasted the original instructions that I had already followed (unsuccessfully) in their reply. I tried deleting the app and reentering the info but no luck. So instead of the VF app I have to use a web browser, find the article I want to read, and log in on the browser.

2 hours wasted with reloading app, signing in and out of account, linking accounts, reconfirming subscription, etc, and ginally a phone call to tech support to bevreassured everything is fine. Still unable to access content... Great writers and photographers, not so sure about software engineering

  • Orientation FAIL in iPad

Such a simple thing: why can I only view the magazine in Portrait view when on my iPad. So many people use iPads in Landscape orientation, so the orientation should be responsive either way. This is a huge problem and now I’m regretting my subscription. How do they expect me to read their publication, on my iPhone?! Please address this.

I have been a fan of Vanity Fair as long as I can remember. Trailblazer journalism at its best. The app is great, although I also love to read it in print.

It’s really sad. Your app is terrible. I always have to log in every time I use it. And even after logging in I’m often rejected. Compared to the NYTimes or wash post the service is horrible. I’ve almost given up trying to read your articles it’s just too difficult. Pls fix it. Thanks PS I’ve tried 5 nicknames all rejected. It’s a pain!

I am a subscriber and have spent a half hour trying to open a magazine, and it’s not letting me do it at all. It approves me as being a subscriber, but then wants me to pay $8.99 or whatever to download an issue.
