  • Only Good With Premium

It is a good tool, but without premium, it is not that good. It stops every 10 measures and you cannot slow it down or speed it up. You also cannot print. If you want to do this you have to pay TEN DOLLARS A MONTH!

I was curious to what has changed with songster when I noticed they had removed my old review. I would like to state that this is an honest negative review protected under US federal law Consumer Fairness Reviews Act. Read it. Know that this store and developer are guilty of removing negative reviews in order to deceive consumers and I implore everyone to file a report with the Federal Trade Commission. What I remember was that the website was far superior to this app. A lot more features on the website. Oh and I also purchased the app but they saw fit to steal my money and begin charging a monthly subscription. Now that I know they are faking their reviews and it’s reminded me of how they ripped me off I will continue with my yearly subscription with ultimate guitar. Now I’m off to file a report against these dirtbags.

I am 50 years old… (yet ppl say I look 25-28 years old!) And still rocking! lol I started playing guitar (hacking) the guitar in 8th grade… by 21 started playing bass, a few years later started hacking drums! I wish SO SO Badly that this was available when i started playing! I would like to think that I would know so much MORE than I do! But it seems to me that I did EVERYTHING backwards… it may be the ADHD!!! lol!!! But by 2001 I graduated from “Burke College” no not Berkeley College, lmbo … I graduated with a degree in Engineering and thankfully worked on an “Avid” machine called “Producer” But before we were allowed to use the software and the HUGE avid machine we had to learned how to record on 24 track tape and edit with a razor blade…we learned the 32 track with a 16 bus Mackie Board!!! We had to learn everything about a “quazie normaled board” Once we passed the analog way we were allowed to learn how to use the Avid (which later became ProTools) the plugins were VERY limited (that you would have to run through what was called a digitizer… it was a rack mount analog hardware machine that would take the analog signal and change it to a 16-32 bit digital signal)… thankfully in 2002 (working as a flavor chemist called compounding at a flavor company in Cincinnati, I was offered a part time job at Guitar Center for Christmas (it wasn’t worth the $$$ HOWEVER the discounts were AMAZING) so I took that job and was placed in “Pro Audio department” which was a God send … VSTi and VST plugins were just hitting the market big, by the same people who makes Cubase, Steinberg …Reps would come and teach us their plugins! T-Racks was my introduction into plugins!!! I was hooked and was 100% taken in… and studied EVERYTHING about how to use this new technology “VSTi’s and VST’s” The first soft synth that I was able to get my hands on was Absynth (the very first release) which I still have on an old Dell running XP! Which that machine holds thousands of VST’s that are NO longer available!!!! All that to say … This is one of the BEST (NO) THE BEST piece of coded algorithm software ever made! I’m blown away how good the instruments sound! I’m so happy that I live in this day and age that there is this tool available!!! Much much love!!!

This app is awesome for advanced and intermediate players, but having to pay for slowing things down? That’s a little mean 🤷. Other than that I have no complaints
  • Its a great app but

I have been using songsterr for a few months now but it has some flaws, if you search for a song with anything over 19 characters you would crash the app, some songs are incomplete, and some tabs are off key, other than that its a good way to learn how to play some of your favorite songs
  • Limited Selection

Library is getting suspiciously smaller, there used to be a much larger catalog in the regular tier than they have available now, highly disappointed
  • Didn’t have all the songs

By App was low key buns
Mostly had rock or country not any pop or hip hop alternative or indie music
  • Great for learning and just to jam to your favorites

Will there ever be a dark mode version for the tablet like there is for the web version? Some of us like to play in the dark… 🙃
