  • App review-not Atlantic review

The Atlantic is a GREAT magazine. The app gets one star because it shows you a lot beyond the printed magazine. On the whole, though, it is completely useless because it does not appear to have a search function. I will continue to use my web browser to read the magazine online
  • Needs a search function

Love the writing, and am a paid subscriber. But where’s the search function? How can I know the title and author of the article I want to read, and STILL not be able to find it in the app?
  • Needs a Search Feature

I love the Atlantic - read it cover to cover most months. However, this app is extremely frustrating. I spent quite a bit a time trying to find the search function. Finally gave up & googled “how to search on the Atlantic app”. Spoiler alert - you can’t! Renders it completely useless.
  • Won’t recognize my subscriber credentials

Nice app but when I try to authenticate it says wrong password. I did a reset and tested the new password online but it won’t work in this app.
  • Great content, app needs serious rethinking

    By Lilactrap
Great content needs no explanation. I like curated views, but in some ways it seems too curated because there’s absolutely no customization. I bought a subscription because I loved articles I stumbled online. However, now in the app, I’d like to find and bookmark said articles, but they are nowhere to be found. Found the year and month edition; found that edition in app, but apparently all articles from that edition aren’t in the app. There’s no search. Browsing by topic, just sends you through the same recent articles you see in other areas. Big push for newsletters. Who reads their personal newsletters anymore; we get enough email from work; personal emails are just for junk mail and password resets. Make newsletters/topics in the app. Let us choose our topics of interest feeds if we choose in addition to “today.”
  • No search option

Trying to find a specific article? Good luck. There’s no search function. This is an awful, clunky app. As good as the writing is, the poor functionality of the app makes me want to cancel my subscription.
  • Great App, hoping for update.

I love the design and simplicity of The Atlantic’s app but hoping it hasn’t been abandoned seeing as the last update was over 8 months ago.
  • SEARCH!!!

    By Srotenberg
I can put up with so much! But not allowing me to search for an article a friend recommended or that I heard about somewhere? What is up with that? So you have to know the section it was in, or hope it made the popular list. Super ridiculous and makes me want to cancel digital subscription.
  • News Hacks

    By Davidprof
I am unsubscribing from The Atlanta after the past few months of (1) Click bait headlines, (2) Under researched/misrepresented research in a number of articles and (3) Lack of integrity and analysis in Political reporting. As a professor (who conducts and reads research), I have found your “reporters” and editors skills lacking. The Atlantic is no longer a news source or even a source for informed opinions. I would group it with Newsmax and the New York Post.
  • Please Add Search Functionality

Such a basic feature would go a long way.
