  • [UPDATED] v8.7.3 fixes crashing issue

    By ThreapUSA
Updated 8/18/22 (original review below): I’m happy to report that for this user at least, the latest version 8.7.3 fixes the constant-crashing issue. I’ve never experienced the overheating issue that others reported so I can’t comment on that. Thanks Plex dev team for jumping on the reported issues and resolving them so quickly! 5 ⭐️. (Original review) I use this app all the time on my phone when driving to stream music over Bluetooth to my car audio. When it works, it’s GREAT. However… the previous version introduced a bug whereby if a track was playing, and I skipped to the next track, the previous one would continue to play at an almost inaudible volume under the new track. This version - I think - has squished that bug. BUT there’s a new one. It crashes, frequently, mid-track. Three crashes on me in the last hour alone. Grrr.

If we are paying for an app why are we seeing commercials?? No thanks!
  • Amazing

    By Xiaver_93
This is one of the greatest apps I’ve ever used and is an absolute necessity. Plex continues to expand and grow. Having an app that can access all my most important media data from my computer in a slick interface is revolutionary. The allowing of sharing particular files with friend and innovative features such as discover shows plex heading in the right direction. The only thing plex needs to be 5 star imo is too bring back photo uploads and audiobooks as well as adding Kendal books. And introduce other small features such as video/voice chat during watching together.
  • pausing and not letting me unpause, no sound.

    By Retardassnigga
It keeps pausing and everytime i try to unpause it just pauses it again, right after i fixed it there was no sound and I even closed the app to see what is was. It’s still doing this even after I updated this app, please fix this.
  • Apple TV app is horrible

    By 2many2soon
I open Plex on Apple TV and find instead of my own content a bunch of movies and shows I have no interest in. Opening the Plex server on the desktop is almost as bad. My shows are there at least, but it periodically replaces my old movie titles with the new reboot. (Old Robocop now has the reboot art and credits).
  • Issue since update

    By Nik. A
Since the most recent update, all iOS devices are unable to play OTA live tv channels. When I choose a station it attempts to play it but quickly stops and returns me to the guide page. It still works when I use my Apple TV 4K (tvOS), and worked on all iPads and iPhones just before update. Please address this issue as it is one of the primary functions that drew me to plex in the first place. Update: 08/03 So a new app update was pushed out today, (08/03), but it didn’t address the issue people are having with the live over the air tv portion of the app on iOS devices ( all iPads and iPhones). Bring up the menu/guide choose a program and it tries to play but just brings you back to the menu/guide or just hangs up. It works on my Apple TV’s and worked on phones and iPads before the second to last update. Please Please Please fix. New update 08/09: New update and still no fix for live OTA playback issue on all iOS devices…no change Another update 08/11…another fail at fixing this ongoing issue. Still cannot play OTA live tv feeds from my antenna on any iOS device. Used to work before one of your updates broke it…. 08/17: new update…same garbage. No fix for over the air live tv play on any iOS device. I guess if not many people use this feature on these client devices then it’s not worth it to fix even though one of your updates broke it.
  • Great, but did the latest update cause it to use my power?

    By Halolordkiller3
Seems like the last update now gets any mobile device I have extremely warm. Nothing else has changed besides this app update. No update to iOS etc.
  • Recent update is hot in a bad way

    By Phistrom
Something is wrong. Over the past couple days I’ve noticed my iPhone 13 Pro gets incredibly hot while just watching video. It’s like something is running 100% CPU. Been using it for years and this has never been an issue until now. So weird.
  • Latest update crashes frequently

    By Gheghegh
This latest update frequently crashes when streaming music from the Plex server. It also sometimes overlaps two streams and you end up having two songs playing simultaneously. Does Plex not have a QA team?
