  • Hate it since Chegg took over

    By campnucleicacid
Busuu used to be an amazing app, and not only did I enjoy the personal connections when I made corrections, and I made hundreds and hundreds of them, I felt like I was really interacting personally while learning, and sharing real conversations. Once Chegg took over it completely eliminated the personal connection so I will no longer recommend it. Instead you are now treated as an unpaid tutor. Most of us in academics actually can’t stand Chegg due to their promotion of cheating. (In spite of their claims…)
  • My favorite app

Best way to learn languages and get certifications in them for jobs or whatever. They keep updating it making it even more fun to learn another language. I traveled to Spain and this app helped me learn Spanish quickly and easily got my time there

  • Best app to learn a new language but it should have Korean language as well :(

    By Adriana mysore
I got excited about Korean language after watching a k drama and I thought I could learn this language on Busuu but it doesn’t have it so that’s why I’m giving it a four
  • A great tool to pair with other learning methods

    By .CoryMiller
As of writing this review I have been using Duolingo for nearly 700 days straight, as well as having taken online A1 classes, and Busuu is a great addition to the toolkit of learning a language. It easily beats Duolingo for the simple fact that it included actual lessons about why something is the way it is, rather than just having the words available to memorize. Well worth the price of admission.
  • It’s okay, but I need more practice

I wanted to learn a bit of Japanese for fun. All I got to was the greetings part and no more than that. I couldn’t move onto lesson 5 because I had to pay or upgrade to learn more. Sadly I can’t do that, but it’s overall a good learning app if you’re willing to make a subscription.
  • Simple and effective

I appreciate how this app is simple, yet has many options to help you learn (matching/listening/responding/fill in the blank). Its a great app!
