Use a web browser for Meetup whenever possible, this app is a nightmare and the messaging features are all but completely broken. Has been bad for years and they won’t use our fees to hire an engineer to make basic functionality improvements.

No way to contact meetup which facilitates the payments for events! Their refund consists of submitting a message to the host that never responds to messages! Don’t buy anything on here!

I tried to sign up for a trial subscription just to complete my creator profile - it wouldn’t let me complete it on iOS, so I had to go to a computer to finish it. It then billed me for an actual subscription starting now, which I am also seemingly unable to cancel. Even as a user and not a creator, it’s impossible to RSVP to any events without getting bombarded with ads. Notifications don’t come through and then all of a sudden I have 70, none of which are related to groups I’m in. I feel bad for the developers on this one. Gross and strongly not recommended.

The worst customer service

This app revolves around events. You meet people by attending events. There are not many relevant events in my area because the ability to create events is locked behind a paywall — I can’t even organize my own events that I would be interested in without having to pay $200 a year. So unless you’re lucky and someone else nearby is willing to pay that much and is doing exactly what you want to do, you are not meeting anybody thru this app. Makes me suspicious as to how they have so many positive reviews.

Steal your money even if u change card and banks

It is fantastic except for technical issues that are driving me crazy. It always tries to sell me the “Plus” membership even though I already have it!

My first LARPBO pack walk was in NoHo. The leader Kat showed awareness & concern for all. She gave me good reminders about keeping my dog, Hero safe. Everyone kept a safe distance. Can’t wait for my next pack walk! Lilia

Why do you have to pay for a subscription to this app?

Love the platform not the app. The app is super slow and glitchy. They are finally doing away with the useless event chat. But now there is a pop up to tell us it’s going away and no way to clear the pop up. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times but unable to use the app. Have to open thru chrome. Hosting multiple events this weekend without having the app available is frustrating. They make a ton of money off this app, so not sure why it doesn’t function better. And don’t get me started on having to have a separate just as glitchy organizer app.
