I wish I could love this all because the basic functionality is great. But this app takes minutes to load, sometimes doesn’t at all. It’s terrible.

I’ve been using care.com for several years and I this time I paid for the subscription there has been significant changes. Now the app it’s very controlling about who you talk to you can’t just message sitters you’re interested in. It automatically messages people you’re not interested in working with and then you have to fend off weirdos who are not a good fit for you at all.. disappointined wish they would change it back to how it was before.

I ve had this app for two years and have yet to find help or care. It’s like a ghost app.

Unable to submit a request for a caregiver. “Something went wrong” window pops up everything time with no links to help or assistance. Just says “Try again”. Zero faith in this app…also why have two separate apps for a caregiver and someone looking to receive care. You should have one profile and be able to toggle between the two. Poorly developed, and lacking in customer care.

This app is glitchy at best. For charging member so many fees, you would expect top quality IT and software design. It is not it is one of the slowest messaging platforms. I have on my phone, sometimes it doesn’t open at all. I get stuck buffering and loading in all different aspects of the app when I’m opening messages or looking at profiles iPhone 14 pro user who uses plenty of regular apps like Facebook messenger Snapchat Rover an email with absolutely no issue. It’s so frustrating that I have all these issues when I just want to contact a different sitters and actually try to use this service for the service itself, you should be able to delete a message out of the inbox once you have eliminated a prospect candidate that you’re not interested in using after you posted a babysitting job but you can’t makes it more difficult to sift through and eliminate potential candidates and find the right care for your child I had like 40 applicants to the last job I posted was trying to figure out which ones I had new responses to. Theres no Arsenal of caregivers you have Fed or clicked or connected with that easily accessible because everything is project based. at this point, I don’t feel like the app needs updates. I think it needs a complete overhaul and new design.

The app is sending messages to people on my behalf, incorrectly reporting statuses of my bookings, and showing messages out of order. They want $40 a month for this janky system? Edit after developer response: I wrote my initial review before I discovered that care.com tries to charge a service fee for each booking ON TOP of the subscription price! Absurd! I’ve followed their instructions and deleted the app but I won’t be reinstalling.

Have to pay to view someone’s reply… thought it was a free app but all apps have a catch… wish I knew before wasting my time posting a job listing…

The app hasn’t been opening/loading for a few days now. I tried uninstalling/re-installing and clearing my cache. It’s a mediocre app to begin with. Everything is cumbersome, including deleting applicants to a job in the app. There’s also no ability to take notes on applicants.

Great place to find all your care needs.

If you want a caregiver and a house cleaner, when you go to post the job for the house cleaner it still posts as a baby sitter, or vice versa. This is not a well thought out app. The idea is great, poor execution.
