  • No distance data.

The app had been giving me my Dustin a walk but it hasn’t for quite some time. I don’t pay but I would if I knew it would work.
  • Used to Work Well, But No Longer

I’ve used the Map My Walk app with my iPhone for the last few years, and it was great. However, the last two updates have screwed it up to the point that it’s nearly useless. Specifically, it simply shuts down half way through my daily walks, failing to map the last half or so of my walk and thus gives my incorrect times and distances. On one occasion it went berserk and randomly added about a half mile that was not anywhere near where I had gone. I reported the latter issue to the company and they incorrectly blamed Google maps. They need to scrap the last two updates and reissue a version that works properly.

This app helps me compare my run/walk workouts on my farm fields and helps me track where I need to run to maintain my distance. The elevation feature helps to keep me tackling hills without going overboard. Great app! Devine
  • Pauses please

A great app for power walking but I wish it had an automatic pause feature like Nike.
  • Glitchy

I had to delete then reinstall just now to make it work. Come on. Is this thing even mainstream? I’ll add too: how about a pedometer!? Is that too impossible. Step COUNTER

  • Could be good, but it’s not

Three times I started app on my watch and it did not track my walk. I have been using basic Apple Watch/Phone functions and I’m ready to spend money on a better app…… or at least I was. I deleted this tonight when I got home and saw it crapped out again. Sure the devs will say “ oh you should verify that app started correctly”. Ya know what, no I don’t! I have been using apple activity function and it has worked every single time for over 2 years. I tap start and it starts. I’m done with these half baked apps and their bogus excuses. It’s simple. write the code, TEST the code, THEN RELEASE the code. And it’s probably a good idea to keep some experienced programmers around. 20yr veterans, not 5 year “senior” programmers.
  • 4 1/2 stars, really!

Love this app! But….unless I’m really stupid, you can’t pre-map out a route on it. Have to go to the MapMyWalk website and have it upload to the app. Also can’t delete old routes from the app, only on the site. Love that it tracks you while you walk, and that you can hold your stats. I find the GPS to work well in my major city. If someone knows how to pre-map out a walk while in the app, please let me know. Or developers, add it to the functionality. App is nicely designed, super easy to view, very user friendly! And I’m a picky app reviewer!
