**Review of the Stir Dating App** The Stir dating app presents itself as a platform designed for busy single parents, offering a unique niche that sets it apart from other dating apps. Its focus on matching single parents seems promising, as it caters to a specific and often overlooked demographic. However, the app's functionality and pricing model have significant drawbacks that potential users should be aware of. One major issue with Stir is its approach to displaying matches. Unlike many dating apps where users can see who has liked them within the swipe queue, Stir requires a paid subscription to access this feature. This means that if someone has expressed interest in you, you won't know about it unless you subscribe. This paywall can be frustrating, especially since many other apps offer this feature for free or at least provide a preview. The user interface of Stir is straightforward and user-friendly, making it easy for users to set up their profiles and start swiping. The app also provides options to filter matches based on criteria relevant to single parents, such as parenting style and child custody arrangements. This can help users find more compatible matches and streamline the dating process. However, the emphasis on monetization is hard to ignore. The subscription cost can be seen as steep, and the limited functionality without paying feels restrictive. While the app needs to generate revenue, this aggressive push towards paid subscriptions might deter many potential users from fully engaging with the platform. In summary, Stir has a clear and commendable focus on single parents looking to date, which is a welcome addition to the online dating landscape. However, the decision to hide likes behind a subscription paywall significantly hampers the user experience. For those willing to invest in a subscription, the app could be a valuable tool, but for others, the free version may prove to be too limited.

Like many others, I created an account and paid for a 3 month subscription only for my account to be blocked within two days of creating the account. I’ve not heard back from customer support. You are ripping people off for your own gain.

I like the app and that it lets you be up front about your family and plans. I don’t like that it gives you the option to set distance away from you but will be showing no one from the area but in other states.

Please save your money as this has more fake accounts like other site after having this and reading profile looks like everything is the same just worded differently more bots then actual people. Be aware when your on this for free you’ll get likes that you can’t see inless you buy a subscription after that you get it all down hill it set to take your money that’s it’s.
  • Pricing Scam

The app is whatever. It's fine I guess. The pricing to join though is nothing short of criminal. In the app, the price is $12/month for a 6 month subscription. One month of premium is $29.99. I didn't pay to join right away. So they sent me an email offering a discount. First, the subject line said it's under $10 a month. When I open the email they said they're offering a 15% discount. Now this is where things get interesting. I click the link. Now the price of a 6 month plan with the "15% discount" is $11.33/month. How is that a 15% discount? Well because the price is $13.32/month and they took 15% off this artificially inflated price. The price for one month of premium is $30.59. The price with the "discount" is more than the price in the app. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. But wait, there's more. I email customer service about the discrepancies, including screen shots. The customer service rep responds that it looks like I got a phishing scam email. I send back screenshots of the email address it came from, which is definitely from the company. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A COMPANY CALL ITS OWN EMAIL A PHISHING SCAM?!?!?! I mean, I guess that's all you need to know about this company. They're so slimy they think their own emails are scams. Don't download, don't give them money,
