How To Download Bark Kids On Chromebook

If you're looking to Download Bark Kids on your Chromebook laptop Then read the following guideline.

Bark Kids is the free child companion app for both Bark and Bark Jr. To use it, you’ll need to have an established Bark account and install Bark Kids on your child’s device. Here are the features this app enables: SCREEN TIME MANAGEMENT Families can set healthy time limits and create schedules for when their children’s devices can connect to the internet (through both cell service and Wi-Fi). WEB FILTERING Our web filter lets you select which websites your child can access on their devices. You can allow or block specific sites — or even whole categories like streaming services, online gaming, sexual content, and more. CHECK-INS Check-Ins are an easy way for families to get peace of mind when their kids are out and about. Rather than sending a "Did you get there?" or "Where are you?" text, you can rely on a GPS-based location confirmation from your children to verify that they've safely arrived at their destinations. It can even give you step-by-step directions via Google Maps so you can meet them where they are if necessary. PERSONAL ACCOUNT CONNECTIONS The Bark Kids app allows kids to connect their own accounts to Bark’s monitoring service (not available with Bark Jr). By allowing them to connect directly to our monitoring service, they get more privacy without having to share their usernames or passwords. WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING - "My wife and I LOVE Bark. We've had some tough but productive conversations with our 13-year-old son. It's proving to be extremely valuable." — Josh L. - “It’s just another set of protections we as parents give our kids for the digital environment (or as my 10-year-old calls it, a “cell phone seat belt”). My oldest is a 9th grader, and while I trust her, I’ve come to realize through the alerts that some of her friends aren’t truly her friends. It’s led to some amazing conversations about choosing friends wisely and recognizing toxic people. While she wasn’t for Bark at first, she’s since said she’s grateful that I saw those messages because it reaffirmed what she was feeling but didn’t know how to verbalize without sounding sensitive.” — Bark Parent - "Bark notified me that my young daughter had unknowingly revealed her phone number to strangers on Twitter. The fact that Bark notified me was impressive and led to an informative discussion with her the same day." — Jon B. - “Since Bark alerted us to the suicidal language used in the Google doc that was being used in a chat document with a friend, we have seen both a pediatrician and a licensed counselor. We are hopeful for a positive outcome. Thanks to Bark for letting us peek into our child’s mind!” — Bark Parent - “This app is a lifesaver! It has allowed us to catch so many “red flags” in the content my kids have accessed on their devices and in their interactions with friends and other people online that I wouldn’t have ever known about otherwise. The big difference between Bark and other “Parental Control” software is that Bark allows your kids to have so much more privacy. It doesn’t show you everything they do, but sends an instant alert regarding any activity that might be concerning. Highly recommended!” — Bark Parent With Bark, you can help keep your kids safe both online and in real life. Try it out for seven days absolutely free! Bark is a great app! This is coming from a pre-teen and I definitely think it gives you more privacy than other monitoring apps. It only alerts you parent or guardian if anything is not right or if there if bullying or if there is something inappropriate on your phone. One problem I have is on youtube I can’t get it off restricted mode. Therefore i can’t watch anything that isn’t allowed on youtube kids and can’t view any comments. It is pretty annoying at times but overall great app! Keep up the good work!
  • I HATE THIS!

Ok this is coming from an 11 year old, so ya say ‘’Oh her review doesn’t matter!’’ Well MY REVIEW DOES MATTER! My parents know that I like information about birds, science, and other stuff (I like drawing too). I get almost all my stuff from searching it up on Google. Well stupid BARK blocked a LOT of my stuff! How will I learn about stuff I don’t have books for! HOW WILL I LEARN BARK!?!? Also Developers don’t try to make me soft like this ‘’We are just trying to protect you’’ or ‘’We want you to be safe’’ that won’t work on me! Bark should be named Barf.

Like other teens I have done things that a 13-year-old is not supposed to do and obviously parents found out I got in trouble and got Bark on my phone honestly I hate it it’s so annoying but it’s stopped me from doing all the immature things that I did when I wasn’t supposed to be doing it because I’m too afraid of getting in more trouble so yeah it stopped me from getting in a lot of trouble and I looked back and realized all of that stuff I did is stupid and immature and now having this on my phone yeah it’s annoying but I feel like honestly some comfort in my life knowing that my parents are watching my every move if your parents are watching everything you do that’s going to stop you from doing the stuff you usually did even though all the stuff I did before wasn’t that bad it’s still bad and I’m comforted knowing that I stop doing that my parents and our relationship benefited from this I feel so much closer to my parents now, yeah I still listen to music that gets me in trouble and yeah I still talk to my friends and call them stupid and that’s apparently bullying on BARK I mean that’s what friends do but I am very comforted knowing that my parents relationship is much better from this app than it was before. So in a weird way thanks BARK.
  • Confusing warnings

I initially installed this as a way to deal with my issues that I don’t think I can name here. But every other day my dad will get a warning saying “sexual content”. It mentions that it may be an AD, but even with an adblocker this still happens without me even using these websites or seeing any ads. It’s very annoying because even knowing I’m not looking at anything I shouldn’t, I can’t help but live my life on edge for the moment it gives my father a false warning.

I barely have privacy with it and one time I haven’t been on my phone for a while and it would FIND something that was “inappropriate”

I’ve noticed you’ve been getting negative reviews from other teens. So I’m gonna share my experience. Your app doesn’t give me any privacy. And it’s a violation to teens. It monitors everything and sends notifications to parents on what your doing even if it has “murder” in the title. This app gives me no privacy and I hate this app. I deleted it and I will not be reinstalling it ever again. Thanks. -a 12 year old
  • Outed me

Outed me to my family and makes home life uncomfortable and unsafe at times. Needs more support for LGBTQIA+ youth and accountability for the safety of the children they harm by outing them through invasive technology.

This is coming from a teenage girls perspective) when my mom decide she want me to put this on my phone I was upset because let’s be honest us teens think it’s a little embarrassing when are parents are monitoring us. Teens like to have our privacy I get it, but now as I get older I have come to realize that my parents just really care about me and the relationships I have with other people and there influence on me. When my mom put this app on my phone about a year ago my life was going downhill I didn’t know who I was, to be honest I was a little rough. I wasn’t influenced by the best people I was suffering from depression. As a parent I get it you want to make sure your kid is the best they can be and want to look out for them and know how to understand them a little bit better. Other kids would say it’s the end of the world, but for me I think it’s a good way to look out and understand your child. I do have one complication though after getting bark my apps started to not work as YouTube, Instagram, Netflix, safari, Disney plus, etc. other than that it’s a pretty decent app. :)
