  • Great content- terrible app design

    While I love the content in Imagine Golf, it is poorly designed unless you are sitting in a stationary place, and can select each session over and over again. The seven day drives don’t seem to work as a playlist, which means if you’re driving you have to put yourself at risk in order to hear each session. These guys need to look at how podcasts work and how people on the move actually consume content if they really want to survive in this market. There are a plethora of really good golf podcasts and other content that can be played when you’re on the move or in the car – this is not one of them.

  • Great content, extremely difficult to navigate

    The content in this app is great. However, I constantly find myself spending more time trying to find where I left off from the last time I listened. There are quite a few 5 or 7 day lessons, and they should be listened to in order. But when I start a series, it doesn’t show up in the home page. I then have to spend time searching for the series and remember where I left off. Pretty frustrating.

    I downloaded this app just over a month ago based on recommendation from a podcast. The interface isn’t great, particularly if you want to listen to things in the car- it’s pretty much two or three minutes at a time of content, sandwiched by filler and self promotion. It might be helpful for some, but there are better ways to get mental game coaching out there, IMHO. The biggest problem is, if you decide to start a trial all of their “Academy.“ I gave my CC info so I could sit through one of their webinars, which was admittedly interesting. Unfortunately, they occur in the middle of the workday and it just isn’t feasible for me under normal circumstances. Certainly not worth $30 a month to me. While I did, give them my credit card info, I never received any email confirmation or a way to access a website with academy information. Three weeks later, and I get an email stating they are preparing to charge my credit card as my trial has ended. It did state to contact them if I did not want to continue my trial and gave an email address, as well as a “contact us“ link via the web. I have used both of those links multiple times, and never received any hint of a response. I tried to create a login on the academy website, this was also unsuccessful. At least I’ve been collecting all of my attempts to contact anyone at this company to contest the charges on my card. Personally, I would never trust this group of people for anything. But some folks may like the app itself and it’s very condensed blurbs about improving your mental game. But please don’t get suckered into joining this “Academy.“ I am very sorry I did.

    I’ve now been on Imagine Golf for a little over a year and listened to almost 2300 lessons. I’ve reached a career best handicap of 3.1 during that time with a low score of 68 all at the age of 62. Thanks Imagine Golf for your 3-5 minute lessons that have improved my game and more importantly my mental attitude towards golf.

  • Great content and UI, the UX needs work

    Found this app on a blog and instantly fell in love with the content during my trial. I wasn’t planning on renewing but I forgot to cancel. Main reason I wasn’t going to renew is because the user experience isn’t great. Some of the things that frustrate me: can’t pick up where you left off in the lesson, only allows 15 second fast forward or rewind, can’t search for something specific, when you save a lesson within a series there is no way to let you go to that whole series to hear the other lessons - only thing you can do is save all the lessons from that series or if available, save the entire series. Once some of these are improved this app will be unstoppable. Content 5/5 UI 5/5 UX 2/5

    I downloaded the app to give it a try before committing to a subscription. I listened to a total of 5 very short plays and now I can’t proceed past the start up page without committing to the 7 day trial. Was I mistaken in thinking the app was ‘free’?

  • Good Content…App Needs Work

    App is buggy and slows down phone very drastically. If you stop listening for a little amount of time, it’s hard to find where you left off as the app often resets when going back in.

    Do NOT do the trial! They automatically charge you for a full year with no notification. I went to cancel and missed it by a couple of days… They had signed me up for a full year (rather than the $14 month) and charged almost $60.
