  • Not happy

    By KChristner
I canceled the subscription a while ago on apple and it got reinstated without my permission. It’s cheaper to go directly through boomerangs website for a subscription which I purchased for the year.
  • App plays randomly; Ignored by developer

    By Quentin
About six months ago, the app started playing random episodes. I’d be watching Popeye, and Jonny Quest would play. I reported these issues, and was told the info was being passed on. Now, there is no rhyme or reason as to what episodes the app plays. It is purely at random. I reported this, and Boomerang said a support agent would get in contact with me. That was two months ago, and I haven’t heard anything. For a while my support requests were immediately closed. Now, they just respond back with “please let us know if there are any problems.” They no longer address or even acknowledge anything I’ve been reporting for the past half year. I have cancelled my subscription, and I would recommend you look somewhere else for your cartoons. All I’m doing is reporting problems with their service that I am paying for, and I am being ignored. What a horrible company.
  • Connecting to TV needs work

    By Bill Schwinghammer
I bought this to watch on my TV, and the connection freezes after either a few minutes, or a couple episodes. Nothing else I stream does this, and I have good Wi-Fi. And there doesn’t seem to be continuous play on the episodes. And this doesn’t work on my Chromcast. I love the shows they have, but it constantly needs attending to in terms of watching.
  • If your app is broken, logout, delete, re-install, then login

    By FoodIsTheAnswer
The apps on my iPhone and Sony/Android TV were broken and immediately crashed when I opened them. I eventually decided to log out, deleted the app, reinstalled the app, then logged back in, and everything appears to be working as intended. Not sure why but this fixed the problems I was having. FWIW I have the annual $40 subscription.
  • New ideas

I think working with a TV provider for this app would be great . Like if you already have HBO Max subscription it would work for a boomerang subscription on this app
  • As soon as i paid for a year it stopped working

  • App Crashes on IOS

    By Metzmma
This app is broken for IOS. When starting it always crashes. I’ve reported this to app support, but for some reason they seem to not want to believe it’s their software that’s the problem.
  • This app is a hot mess

    By curtisimpson
The user interface is likely designed for children so there is very little to it. That’s fine, but the fact that nothing works as expected is not. You can watch one episode of a show and the app will show that you’ve watched an entire season. You can watch Popeye and the auto play will give you whatever it feels like next… Huckleberry Hound, Tom and Jerry, Atom Ant?? These are what played after each episode for me. The random auto play wouldn’t be as bad of it didn’t progress the next episode of the ACTUAL show you were trying to watch in the first place. So in my example, if I close Atom Ant after 4 minutes, it now shows that I have watched 4 minutes of the next Popeye episode?! If this truly is a children's app (again based on the absolute bare bones interface and lack of any features whatsoever), how frustrating and confusing it must be for them to use Boomerang. The content is great. All of the ol Hanna-Barbera, Popeye, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry… it’s a a solid selection for $5/mo or $50/yr, but the app itself is unbearable. It honestly feels like you’re watching pirated content on some janky website. If this improves, maybe I’ll give it another chance. For now, half the content is on HBO Max, and there are plenty of other streaming providers that have functional interfaces with way more features.

  • App is useless.

    By Luisamisha
The app doesn’t work. Keeps braking out and down even open when you trying to get in. What a waste of time.
