Just awful. Can’t even play white noise without skipping. App crashes all the time. Speaker crashes all the time. Mini speaker broke after 3 months. Terrible terrible product.

Huge step backwards. Hatch1 interface was simple and fine and worked. Hatch2 is clunky, confusing, doesn’t work right most of the time, and also removed some features from Hatch1.

Our Hatch will cut off randomly in the middle of the bedtime stories (that we pay a subscription for) and my daughter is deviated each time because we can’t finish the story. It lags when trying to change the sound and/or the light. When a story is complete, it used to keep playing the music at the end until I could change it to a sleep sound. Now when it finishes a story, it just shuts completely off. Sound and light. I was impressed with this device when we first got it, and up until about 4 months or so ago.. but now I’m ready to get rid of it and just read my daughter more books and use a regular sound machine and a nightlight. I have tried disconnecting the device from our WiFi and reconnecting it. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. Nothing works. This needs to be fixed. Especially since we pay a subscription for all of the stories.

This app isn’t intuitive at all and it’s impossible to find the alarm, etc. to cut it off once set. It would be far better to have lots of options to select from in the app, but instead it takes you off in only one direction for one thing and is extremely annoying.

Randomly won’t connect to the device when within arms reach. How hard is it to detect your own device? Kind of takes the point out of managing it remotely if I don’t have that basic function and need to pickup the device to turn it on/off or change a setting.

Complete waste of money . It doesn’t connect most times so it makes the product useless……unless you just want an expensive sound machine

“Premium” app is piece of garbage. Refuses to connect. Refuses to act like a normal audio player. Will play randomly if confused

We have been waiting a month to hear back about a replacement adapter since they recalled the one we currently have. They advise you to stop using the device immediately but then seem to be in no rush to provide the replacement. I’ve been a huge fan of the Hatch Rest for our first child but his last month of sleep has been awful because we can’t use the machine. If you’re going to create a product like this and encourage parents to use it… maybe think through the logistics of recalling an item and provide timely service to those customers. Currently looking at Hatch competitors to replace our device.

I just want to adjust the volume from my phone, I don’t want to edit routines, restart the darn thing, wake the kid, explain that daddy’s app is so buggy and laggy and there are no physical buttons to do simple things that now it’s a new sound and don’t worry about it. Hatch: you are a lamp with white noise. I do not want to stream podcasts, music, or stock quotes to my child’s night light. You are not Alexa. You are a lamp with white noise. Return to your roots.

About one month ago, the stories that we pay for through a subscription with Hatch stopped working. Pretty unacceptable so we’ll be cancelling our subscription. App is clunky and not intuitive, don’t waste your time.
