    The app never lets me log in and they have yet to fix the problem . I’ve run out of passwords from them changing my password so much thinking hey are fixing the issue

    Constantly getting this message. Even as I write this review it happened again. I switched to this for ease and to save money but I might go back to my previous service Bc this never happened. How and why can’t this service work??
  • Worst service out there

    I’ve used other services before and I’m splitting a subscription with a friend. I’ve had multiple issues from the app crashing and asking me “Are you still there?” And when I open the app it has to completely restart. Darn near missed the end of Game 6 of the World Series because of this ridiculous feature. Got better for a while, but now when I cast to my TV I get a blank screen. Just black nothingness. Every other app I use to cast still works fine, so I know it’s the Directv app. Could not be more displeased with this service. Other services cast around the same. I recommend using one of those because this one will cause you nothing but frustration.

  • Fine on Apple, terrible on Samsung

    The app works fine enough on an Apple device, but that’s only because of Apple. On my Samsung tv, my app has been randomly buffering for no reason (yes I checked connection, doesn’t do this on any other app) and will start playing my show in Spanish?????? So frustrating, fix your app, it’s terrible on Samsung!!!

    DIRECTV streaming is the only thing available to watch tv with in our neighborhood. For the last three nights there has been no streaming success on any of our 4 tvs. I’ve called for tech support. It’s been too long for not having service

    As you can see from the title DIRECTV streaming services is trying to compete with others like FuboTV, Sling or YouTubeTV, but after trying it for almost two weeks we cancelled, for one we would get more channels if we went with the box option and what really hit our last nerve was that the app has too many bugs it was basically impossible to cast or use Apple air play with our Vizio smart TVs, given we also tried casting with Samsung products only to see the same disappointing and frustrating result. Maybe once the app can be further developed and bugs worked out it will be a strong competitor as of now it can’t compete and the only thing good about stream that I can find is that it’s contract free but other than that you’d might as well go for FuboTV I did and love the service 100% do your research and same time.

    So when casting to my tv the first issue was if I watched a channel for too long it would get stuck on that channel I would have to close down the app and turn off my tv just to change the channel now the app won’t even cast to my tv anymore it’s just a blank screen with no sound.

    Price changes without notification; audio issues when using Roku devices; and we just had our number of simultaneous streams reduced without explanation. Constantly losing value in a world where this concept of TV is already antiquated. Do yourself a favor and find a different, better option.
