  • Great app for motorcycle riders

I’ve been using the app for a couple years now. It’s great to be able to try all the features on an as needed basis by using the credits, without having to worry about a “trial period” expiring. I also like the option that you can purchase additional credits if needed. I’ve imported several gpx files of tracks that others have created. I’ve logged around 3k miles with the app and have been satisfied with how it works. My only wish is that it would display your cell service at n the map so I can quickly glance at my phone and know whether I’m in an area that has reception.

App is just about perfect. I suggestion for an add would be EV charge location pre loaded to make it easier to plan EV Motorcycle routes.

I have been riding street bikes for 30 years. I have lived in many of the most scenic areas in the USA. I seem to be the one organizing and leading rides with my group. For many years I have struggled with spending hours mapping out the best and most curvy rides and fumbling with maps on my tank to make sure I didn’t miss a turn. Typically a lot of u-turns. This is the product I have been searching for!! Just plug in the # of miles I want to ride for the round trip, pick the general direction, select the amount of curvyness and click start! That simple and keeps me on track the entire time. Been living in Florida for 8 years now and this application is taking me to curvy roads I didn’t even know exist! This application has been great. I love it and highly recommend it.

I do a fair amount of sport adventure motorcycle riding and camping and have been very happy with Scenic for trip routing and for use with imported GPX files (MABDR, NEBDR waypoints, for example). There are some minor glitches (read the “help” discussions on the Scenic website, very clear explanations for all the ones that I have experienced). I prefer using my phone than having a stand-alone GPS system, and Scenic has been super easy to use, good routing, and very reliable for me. I like the voice commands, so I upgraded to the premium version, no regrets!
  • Best Motorcycle GPS software

This software isn’t the easiest to use when it comes to GPS/mapping but there is a nearly two hour YouTube tutorial that does a great job explaining various features. Take the time to view the video and you’ll get more out of this product. There’s lots of great features included in this software. Too many to remember or list here. I like how you can specify what type of route you want. Fast, shortest distance, avoid tolls, unpaved, etc. You can have as many waypoints or stops as you want. You can have the software generate a route and modify it to your liking. Couple things I’m not crazy about. Speed limit indicated often shows 25mph when in fact it is twice that. It’s as if the correct limit isn’t known and the software errors on the side of caution. Second thing I don’t like is the software warns against saving rather long, multi day trips. It recommends breaking the trip into shorter segments to avoid crashing the software. 600 miles seems to be the point where the software warns against saving multi day trips. The offline maps are great. I just finished a 3200 mile trip and I’m sure I was out of cell service. The maps are highly accurate. They’re easy to read while riding even with eyes that are getting old. At the end of the trip you can review stats. Total distance, max/avg speed, breaks. There’s a really cool tool that shows your elevation and speed along the route. Like I mentioned before, lots of great features, too many to list. I got the annual subscription. $22.49USD I think. Bottom line is this. The product may not be perfect, but I think it’s a great value and enjoy using it. Ride safe

Just finished the Smokey Mountain 500 & used the Scenic App for the entire trip. Never failed once which is more than I can say for the TomTom 500 rider. Actually used both as a side by side comparison & Scenic was so easy & accurate. Will use Scenic from here on out!!!

I cannot read the road names and/or rte #’s under the heavily colored, generated, route Lines.

It does what I want, easy to set up like I want and doesn’t contain a bunch of unnecessary B/S. There are plenty of free apps but I was glad to pay for this one. Why pay several hundred dollars for a GPS which will be outdated or fail?
