Pros: Lots of interesting recipes for vegan and vegetarian dishes. Cons: 1) Many of the recipes are poorly written and clearly not edited or reviewed by the site moderators. Typos are common. Ingredients are often not listed in the ingredients but included in the preparation section, sometimes vice versa. 2) It runs a subscription verification every time I go on the app. I’m sorry, these are recipes, not top secret nuclear codes. 3) The option to “try it before you buy it” is extremely limited. You can scroll through a list of sample recipes but you cannot do even one search without subscribing. The cost is not unreasonable and you can do a minimum of 3 months, but still, people are going to subscribe based on perceived value, which is why they should offer a 7- or 14-day free trial. That way you get willing rather than resentful subscribers. 4) Every recipe has a share button. But it does not actually share the recipe, it just sends a link to the website so that the person I share it with can go through the same baloney described above. 5) There is no print option because they are trying to be environmentally responsible. But I like to print a recipe when I’m making it, not constantly refer to my iPad. So instead I take screenshots of the recipe and print those out which requires more pages and more toner than would be used if there was a succinct and well formatted print option. Everyone of these five items represents a bad business practice. Unless they clean up their act, I’ll probably not renew my three month subscription.
  • Does not seem to work

After downloading the app I was unable to perform basic operations like search for recipes by an ingredient, etc. Would not recommend.
  • Advertisements even if you subscribe

I have the ads firewalled so I don't see them, but even after subscribing there are ads all over the place. I regret downloading and wasting money on this app. As soon as my subscription ends I'm deleting the app. Very disappointed as this app seems like it has so much potential.
  • Frustrating UI

I probably wouldn’t leave this review if I didn’t submit helpful UI feedback and got a response from admin that was defensive. So now I will share what is wrong with this app. First I do like the pictures and there seem to be lots of recipes. But when you like a recipe, you can never go back to your likes. And bookmarking a recipe take several steps which is cumbersome. And when you select ingredients that you’d like and it goes and your profile for recipes that they could recommend, there’s no where to find those recommendations based on the things that you were liked. So I find it unusable. Might as well search the Internet for recipes and not pay four dollars a month. There must be an app out there where I can simply choose the foods that I like and I get only those recipes that include those foods.

These recipes seem a little complicated is a lot of ingredients
  • It’s free to load the app but you can’t see recipes

I was hoping for healthy recipes and instead I found an app that shows a lot of dessert recipes and then says you’ve expired the 25 recipes you’re allowed to see for free. You don’t get to choose the subject of the 25 recipes. To me it’s obvious that this app isn’t worth it. It’s a shame because we need some good apps to share vegan recipes.
  • No access

I clicked on 3 recipes and it told me I had reached the limit of 25 recipes. Waste time, goal is money (of course) but the free version doesn’t even last long enough to explore it. Deleted.
  • NOT FREE

If your really vegan you should not have to pay for a subscription to eat look up recipes online these people are just trying to make a quick buck not worth it to even download.
  • I have the paid version and there is still no preparation instructions

Hopefully it gets fixed but 90% of the recipes don’t have prep instructions. I paid for 6 months.
  • So many tasty options!

I hate having to look for new recipe ideas. Endless searching and then having to scroll though a story about why they’ve created the recipe is just pointless. This app makes it so easy to have it in all one place with clear directions! Such a fun place to find new things and easy to navigate. The only thing I would say is to make a folder for the free recipes so that when I refer it to my friends they can get a good taste of how it works.
