  • Used to work great

This app used to be great. It made setup and monitoring of your home network easy to do and understand, and allowed for remote restarting on occasion that generally cleared up issues. Suddenly I’m asked to register my devices again and is stuck on the sign in page even though I’ve used Eero for years. At this time I’m unable to get onto the main service page and I have no idea how to fix it. At least the internet still works.

It’s a great idea, pretty good execution, the problem I didn’t expect to happen is in case you have used the Pause Wi-Fi option for e.g. on PC and the app goes down, you don’t have Wi-Fi access on your device up until the app is fixed. When you call Hotwire about the problem, you will get I am sorry the team is working on it, but no idea when the issue will be resolved (with attitude). Well if that’s a PC you are using for work and/or writing a paper, it is a bad situation.
  • App doesn’t refresh

Since the app never refreshes and always shows that there is no internet nor any online eeros we can’t use it to manage or do anything. No amount of restarted the app or phone works to get it to refresh. Logging in an out doesn’t work. Even tried getting a different phone, downloading the app, logging in, that didn’t work either. Worthless.
  • What happened to this app?!

I was relatively satisfied with this app for years, but I just opened for the first time in a while, and what IS this nonsense? It’s telling me to “Add a device” and has forgotten all my connected devices. That’s… not okay. The app was never very useful in cases where there was an outage. Now, I can’t figure why I would ever open it.
  • Something really weird today

I have had eero for years - it’s the only thing that will work in my home due to construction materials. It has always worked fine and continues to do so except this morning the app says my internet is not connected and I have no devices. All the devices and the internet are working just fine but I have no idea why the app thinks they are not. Hope they fix it before I need to adjust anything.

The app says wired internet not connected, though it is. My wife’s computer is right next to a node and has awful video and audio, there is no reason this is the case. Upgraded to IPv6 thinking that would help. Nope, now there is 0 data being shared, and all profile information, node info of what devices are connected, is not working at all. I’ve been overall very disappointed in this system, as I thought it could fix some of our issues.

Somewhere along the line this app updated and now settings don’t update and the apps lags. Very frustrating and annoying. It says a device is paused when it is not. Can’t delete devices that were previously assigned to a profile. Developers need to update this app so it works again!

Bought this is 2019 and it worked great. For the last 2 months has not worked, constantly interfering with the isp and slowing my high speed connection. No success trying to get help. I was thinking about getting an upgraded version and not Im thinking I need to trash this. Very dissatisfied

But… Updating to v6.14.0-4275 broke WPA3 and parts of Apple HomeKit. Lost connectivity to an Ecobee and MyQ. There’s no excuse for not making WPA3 mainline (it is still ‘beta’) and it is disappointing that an update broke a feature that had been working with no ability to disable for specific devices or an automatic back off. Worse than that, the feedback page in software requires yet another account (separate from the one used for the Ecobee) and appears to be barely used. It’s just one massive thread of scattered, outdated postings. There’s other nonsense - erred usage statistics, poor node selection and delayed handoffs. The lack of manual options to pin devices or otherwise manage the environment would be enjoyed if the automation worked. It doesn’t.
